Think I must be right on the edge of it here,  half the garden is lightly wet, the other half dry!

It's felt more like autumn than summer here this weekend....even had to have the heating on tonight!

So windy still! I don’t think it’s going to be that warm on the south coast today if that keeps up, even if the sun does come out.

(and it’s drizzling though nothing is showing on the radar!)

Well it's more of a very wet mist admittedly.

It's grey and breezy with that very fine rain that doesn't even seem to wet the soil - it just annoys the cat.  It's about time this cloud either gave us some proper rain (which the garden needs) or beggared off altogether.....

After some cloud early this morning, the skies are clear now and it is a gorgeous day, though looks like cloud will move in from the W soon. Currently 22C with a brisk breeze from the WSW.

Yep nice sunny and warm afternoon, is it to much to ask, for the misty murk that does nothing for anything just goes until winter now please. Proper rain is welcome, just not all the time.

A decent day here with early cloud clearing to leave good sunny spells and a fairly stiff westerly breeze. The temperature has reached 24C and feeling quite humid.

A rather uninspiring grey and muggy 20C here, this morning...

But - fear not! - temps of 37C (99F!) are already being mooted for next week in (yes, you've guessed it) the MAD thread!

PS: lassie's melons will be the size of sultanas!

  • Chilly with an increasing risk of frost

Once Monday's band of rain fades, the next few days will be drier. However, it will feel cool, even cold, in the breeze or under gloomy skies, with an increasing risk of frost. Read the full update here

Dubai Floods: Another Warning Sign for Desert Regions?

The flooding in the Middle East desert city of Dubai earlier in the week followed record-breaking rainfall. It doesn't rain very often here like other desert areas, but like the deadly floods in Libya last year showed, these rain events are likely becoming more extreme due to global warming. Week Ahead: Cool but largely dry until later in the week, when low pressure returns

We keep a chilly northerly flow going through much of the coming week, especially noticeable in the east. Cloud and rain spreading south Monday, but after that, most places largely dry until later in the week, when it looks to turn more showery. Read the full update here
