That was bizarre... We had a brief spell of moderate convective rainfall, but the stars were still visible, as very little cloud was present. We are also still getting vibrant flashes to our ENE every once in a while, but it seems to be slowly easing down with time.

I really do need to get some kip soon, so ill probably leave the curtains/windows open, as long as I don't get invaded by these rather large moths that are around!

Thanks LL. You seem in the firing line. Hoping it continues inland.

Good luck with getting sleep!

One hellava shower here in Essex at dawn. A few flashes of lightning but the rain was so hard that I couldn't hear any thunder.

All 5 of my cats got caught out in it. Some very unhappy moggies returned home shortly after it stopped.

Can't wait for some storms to break out today. I'm still not quite sure if I will get one but I'm quite confident!

Feeling fresh this morning so I think you’ll need plenty of sun to beef things up.

Last night shows even in a low risk zone we can get some hefty little storms going though...

Surprised to see no mention of temps on the main page forecast from today onwards. Warm and muggy? What's that? 25oC and 80% humidity or 30oC and 50% humidity. Anyone have any ideas for the SE?

Interestingly the met office don't have temps going over 20oC for my location and the feels like temps are lower than actual temps - totally opposite to netweather forecast

Well got thick low cloud today, better start lifting so there's some heat to build storms with for people further in land. It doesn't look like it will if I'm honest.

High cloud breaking up over central London which is good, but the sun needs to join the party soon so if we want to see temps reach decent levels by this afternoon - it felt quite chilly earlier on

It is all rather boring and tedious weather wise lately,at least with a showery westerly regime there is something to talk about.

This is just a yawnfest.Zzzzzz.

Wake me up when we get some weather.

Och well...after two-days' azure blue skies, it's back to trying to spot Altocumulus grimsleyanus clouds through a horribly yellow-grey haze. Yuck!

Two days of blue skies who are you kidding? We had like half a day of it...

But hey at least it will be another " HOTTEST JUNE ON RECORD BECAUSE LONDON ", according to the met office who are full of it

Awful depressing weather

After a day of sunshine yesterday, it’s back to grey skies and dreariness. Not cold at 19C but still pretty depressing.

The sun was out for about an hour this morning but then from 12 onwards it started getting darker. There's a heavy shower north west of my location but I thought it was going to develop quite well. This is my view of the shower from my window
