My thermometer is showing 33.5 C - but I sited it on a north facing fence but at this time of the day it starts to catch the sun, so it can't be an accurate reading.

Not that much showing on the radar too close to us but there is quite some height in those cus, so I expect some rain in next few hours.

Real humid feel here, dark clouds to my south.

From this shower around Luton that’s intensifying:

Wonder if the storms will be more localised later?

Beautiful warm and humid evening here with a blue sky.

i know some people don’t like humidity, but it makes you feel as though you’re abroad. Lovely!

Sky is clouding over now but still very humid. Just had a loud rumble of thunder about 10 minutes ago but nothing since.

Couple of rumbles of thunder and I’m directly under the most active cells.

So don’t fret those south of region... pretty pointless really.

make the most of a dry bbq evening

Nothing here but feathers and evidence of the Dutch and French storms that went east, no sign of instability at all, yet.

In other news - the dratted wind has finally stopped for the time being. Not that it feels particularly warm.

Looks like the storms for tonight will be in the North sea, as everything is moving the traditional northeast.

Thundery showers died out here.

Huge clearance North London southwards, hopefully bodes well for a decent bank holiday Monday morning

The chances of storms tomorrow or Tueday are 50/50 for here, I can see my storm shield working over time and we end up with nothing or distant lightning. A hatrick of near misses wouldn't surprise me

Edit: According to NW's will it thunder, it won't here tomorrow, has gone from 50% to 60+% over the past few days, this morning included, then in this afternoon's update it's gone to 0.

Imagine my shock.

Problem solved. My wife went up into the roof space earlier in today and the loft ladder disconnected one of the plugged in aerials.

Perfect for me outside warm humid lightning in the distance and the odd rumble shame it won’t get any closer but it’s a bonus ??
