Not sure yet, confidence definitely dropped from 50% to 20% now. Main reason being extra cloud and lower temperatures today already proving very stubborn to shift.

Second thing is a lot of indicators point towards some pretty impressive storms over northern France later today drifting North and as they do they die out. Only one model has intense storms over our part of the world and that's the arome and its been performing not that great this week. So that means more crud and low cloud for tomorrow inhibiting any warming unless it can shift off quicker

I would say our chances have dropped from what it looked like a good show at the start of the week

seems to be clearing along the coasts a bit.

Possibility of building some usable energy still for later...

This heatwave is going well.

What an utterly vile day! Still we have had a really nice couple of weeks.

Hopefully things will be better over the weekend, although every time I look at the predicted temps they are getting lower and lower.

Overcast but dry and you can feel the sun through the clouds so nice walking weather. Also very still (in Central London). It's quite nice having the odd day different  to the last week or so and makes you appreciate the nicer days more.

Yep, am so hacked off with this overcast crap. Looked like a great weekend a couple of days ago. It’s not cold though, 19C currently and very muggy.

Mostly sunny, 20C and v. light ENE breeze...Could have done with a wee bit more rain last night.

As I thought, very stubborn low cloud today and its only just started to lift off the south coast. Norfolk having the better day...

And my suspicions for a not so sunny Saturday are starting to unfold as I type and just heard from radio cloudy start tomorrow..

This is pretty common with such a setup we have so much moisture trapped with no where to go. Nevermind, I think we have had our fair share of sun the past few days and weeks... Let's see what happens over the weekend and bank holiday.

Been in the sun for the last few hours. Quite surprised to see the sky clear almost fully, was only expecting bright spells.

Load of intense showers have fired up over the fens region. Let’s see what they can deliver!

Dunno if it’s worth the two hour trek up toward where those showers are forming - they are heading NW so it’s not an easy chase and takes me a long long way from home.

i think i’ll save my energy and resources for tomorrow

edit: currently near Potters Bar

Not interested in that but thunderstorms currently pushing north over northern France. Watch it all die down and we just get the wet stuff. :)

Had some sun breaking through this afternoon and it’s felt really humid - hoping for some storms this weekend - but I’m feeling pessimistic as I’m probably too east here in London :(

Sun trying so hard to come out here now still loads of crud though

There’s definitely some Acas about - I really don’t know what to read into this!

what I do know however - is that France storms to the south seem to have faded which might mean less cloud cover tomo...

Maybe a good thing then!

Though for me I think I'm a little to far east...most of the good ole stuff is going to be around Hampshire/dorest areas....but such is the fine margins there might be a nice surprise for us all.
