Belgium stuff heading north west no west, may hit east Anglia if it lasts, was hoping it was heading here.

think  I saw a distant, orange flash looking out towards the Dover strait!

A much warmer feel to the day, despite the wind that has been about for what feels like forever!

A high of 19.5c at home (Hawkinge), following another chilly, foggy start to the day and 22c at work (Folkestone).

Looks like we've had a little rain overnight but nothing substantial. Lots of convective clouds about.

it's sunny, warm but that breeze is gusty. Not idea dress wearing weather.

Lots of nice convection bubbling up here.  Decidedly humid.

Looks like it held out in the end. Nothing here but humidity.

Few pop up storms could see them going up all the way over in Windsor

Can see them clearly on the SE’ern horizon, nice anvil tops. Meanwhile, lovely yet again here. What a May this is turning out to be!

Sunny all day here, a fresh north to north east wind though. Still we reached 21C here so not too bad.

Yes it really is, and looks like the heat is going to be turned up again this weekend

Hope so! Going camping in Oxfordshire for 3 nights and would love some hot sunshine ☀️

Cannot believe how cold it is here, the sun has b***** all warmth to it, the wind is depressing and there is no end in sight. Sick of it, 5 months of cold winds is too much - I'm seriously thinking of abandoning bloody Norfolk.....

Was a lot worse further north only reached 11C in parts of NE England with stratus plaguing coastal areas. We had a northeasterly airstream today, veering more from south through this week so it’ll certainly improve. Don’t say that! This spring has had an abundance of easterlies something of note....
