Only five months to go before the first of the new ice age winters:shok:

Bring it on, I can't wait! And longest day of the year just a month and a half away, then the days will start to shorten again on our count down to Christmas, which is less than 8 months away now. For the record, I am predicting a white Christmas 2018.:yahoo: So remember you heard it here 1st.:D

As often the case weather does what it wants it’s much more tricky compared to usual type from west, models did rather late shift east. It’s been a very wet day, dry now other side of London not much rain at all. Would say about 20mm have fallen today, probably triple that for localised part of Kent by the time this rain is out scene.

Some of the fields and grass verges are all ready flooded in Thurrock.  More places in Thurrock will get flooded now.  There is a muddy path near a pub which is usually dry but now most  of the path is flooded.

Just hit 40mm of rain here since midnight. Hasn’t stopped since yesterday around 2pm and still more to come looking at the radar. Someone down in the town has recorded over 66mm since midnight!

Very windy too last night, trees down here and there, a few big ones too unfortunately.

Looking nice for my birthday weekend though

It's been an absolutely vile day here in St Leonards-on-Sea.

Temperatures hovering between 4-5c for most of the day, northerly winds gusting over 40mph at times and non stop rain from 23.00 hours last night until 18.00 hours this evening. Total rainfall locally 34.8mm so far.

Happy May day everyone. :hi:

Much better day coming up with sunny spells and temps into the mid teens, also the prospect of things improving a lot by the weekend with temps reaching the low 20's for the bank holiday. No more vileness on the horizon either, for now anyway.:D
