Yes, looks like our area has at least been spared the rain, must be dire further east. Windy here though and gloomy, just 7C, very poor.

Yep your right there...it is dire here, and it's May tomorrow. The weather never fails to disappoint.

Not too far north of Paris at Amiens my weather app shows a chance of the rain turning to snow in the next few hours with temps around 3c 37f..it's a pity the snow potential that hirlam showed yesterday morning for southeast england proved to be wrong and one last snow hurrah has been denied.

Edit..scrub that, Amiens doesn't show snow now, 5c and light rain!:D

Why would anyone want snow in late April?

Wait 4 months and it’ll be winter again... give the poor little baby animals a chance!

As a driver was amazing to see the difference between mid Kent earlier with torrential rain flooded roads and a howling cold wind that blew a few trees down and then to get to west London and see it bone dry with not a trace of rain and jist a light breeze!

Yep quite a massive difference and considering that just yesterday west London looked to get between 25-30mm of rain and Saturday looked like more than that we have had a result!

Apparently Dover is approaching 88mm of rain but that takes into account yesterday as well I think...

Rainfall today so far 60.6 rain is lighter now though.

Relieved to see the day out dry here.

Was thinking today would be a wash out and worse out of the 3 horrid days that have been...

Cloudy & cold, bit breezy this morning but nothing of note now.

“Now weather gods”.... please please please get warmer & sunnier. Ah heck... whilst I’m at it... give me a month with no rain for a chance to the ground to dry out...

Well today has been wet and windy, funnily enough. It was 4C when I got up, and stayed there until about 11:0OAM-ish. since the wind was coming from the NE, rather than the usual SW, Our school had quite a few leaks on the roof. the high today was around 6C. the rain was steady, and was moderate throughout most of the day, although it was occasionally heavy.

The strong winds have sadly claimed a life

Heard about that from a friend who got a phonecall from someone in Ramsgate as it was happening. Sad to here a person died.
