Beautiful weekend.

First drunken Friday evening in the garden of the year. Hopefully the first of many.:drunk-emoji:

Do I detect a wee bit of political dissent there, SR? :D

Cheery old bunch in the MAD thread ay..

Of course it’s going to turn more unsettled/cooler... this is the UK

Sustained warm/heat or cold/freezing doesn’t quite happen on this tiny island that sits in the path of a gulf stream in North Western Europe.... havent we learnt anything !!! Why the shock..

thankfully its 22nd April - hopefully some many days to come of 2018 that brings warmth and settled weather.

Summer hasn’t even begun.

A really nice weekend for most with just a few thundery downpours scattered around last night and a few this afternoon. It does look cooler this comng week with some rain at times. Things look a little uncertain from next weekend onwards as we see a trough form near the UK, it could end up cool and wet but it only requires low pressure to be a little further west and we could end up with something drier and warmer, even a cyclonic southerly wouldn't be too bad. Probably the worst outcomes are either low pressure parked over the UK or directly south with a dull easterly setting up.

Who me a dissident, gawd forbid?:unknw:

It will be May Day soon with outbreaks of cool northerly winds blowing and something cold and inclement moving in at no 10, old buildings for you, it might be the roof that needs some attention, nothing that a bit of extra insulation can't sort out.:acute:

We have had a taste of high summer in mid April, I was thinking to myself today that there is the potential of more of this for close to another six months. 1st Oct 2011 it got close to 30c near here at Gravesend, its indeed the strange and unpredictable Uk climate.

Has to be a northeasterly to northerly at this time of year, a direct easterly is warm.

There's a great shot around the 18 minute mark

Yes we had a few flashes about in the sky, though nothing really close and some rain Saturday night.

I have also decided that we were spoiled last week with the lovely blue skies and temps peaking at 28.5C at Watford - now back to business as usual for April, mostly cloudy skies with a temp of 15 C.

Roll on the next settled warm/hot spell and ask those forecasters to be careful where they place the jet streams  :)

Certainly cooler today in SW London.Quite nice to be honest. And those large pink creatures with hairy toes that were lolloping around on the district line seem to have hibernated again till the next hot spell.Thats looking a long way off now.

Not too bad this afternoon, seen glimpses of the Sun and temp in the highish teens, could be worse.:)

Feeling much cooler today with a gusty breeze and plenty of cloud but it has stayed dry with a few sunny intervals. Currently a very average 15C.

Hoping for big, juicy, melons? :good::D

So much cooler today while near average, it doesn’t feel like it after last weeks summer blast.

Lovely day today with some nice sunny periods and a pleasent breeze.Got to 15 degrees here which is nice weather to work in.Last Thurs/Friday reminded me of last June when it was just too hot working outside.I like warmth and anything upto about 23 is lovely but once it gets to 27 upwards you really feel it when you out in it all day. That said it was just nice to see the sun out over last week as March and first half of april have been totally miserable.

Met Office and BBC seem to be going for highs of 14/15 today but my WS is saying it's 20.1 and rising. I don't know if it's faulty but it does feel pretty warm out there. Wasn't expecting it to be.

Some occasional brighter spells this morning here but overcast this afternoon with a strong wind. Feeling mild at 17C out of the wind, looks and feels like it’s going to chuck it down later.

Goat evening everyone. Windy and quite cold here today, dry though.

Looks like turning a lot cooler for Mayday, snow in the north too...:unsure2:

Sounds like November out there! Wind howling round the house and rain spattering against the windows....grim! Not looking great for the foreseeable either (gfs)
