Yet more rain overnight and gloomy skies this morning, getting very tedious now. Amazing how difficult it is to get clear skies here. Endless cloud though, easy!

The lack of sunshine recently is almost becoming interesting in itself. It's got to be one of the dullest April's ever. Mind you, there's time yet.

I knew I shouldnt have said the allotment was dry a few weeks back. Certainly isnt now!

Went out around 7.30 last night to take the dog for a walk and I got a whiff of that storm smell in the air for the first time this year.

Nearly 12c here, sunny intervals. Dare I say that spring has sprung!

This type of weather is the one I dislike the most regarding the UK climate. Grey skies for weeks on end, it’s very depressing. Don’t mind the rain if there are decent spells of sunshine in between. And it’s cold, a miserable 8C currently. Everything is sodden here, at least you won’t have to water the allotment for a while ?

Cool, cloudy and a little misty in Central London.

Annoyingly, if we got this same setup in the middle of Jan, it would be a lot colder.

Hey ho, can't really complain though.:)

Roll on the sunshine!

I hope not, now it's warm I want it to stay that way, untill winter, November this year.

I have to agree. North-easterly winds at this time of year are pretty much useless (It cold is what you're after,). It will only deliver cool, cloudy, rainy days. Pretty much the week we're in now.

Sun is trying to break through now and temp up to 12C so I'm off to play on the allotment.

Potato planting time has arrived at last, nearly 4 weeks later than normal for here!

Whilst doing my Hastings weather obs earlier this morning mist and low cloud quickly dispersed along the coastal fringe leading to a mostly sunny and quite warm late morning and afternoon here in St Leonards-on-Sea. Temperature now nudging 15c with just a light breeze.

I'm off to cut the grass now, the first cut this year and around a month later than I would usually do it owing to the weather.

I'm thinking that too, heatwave 23c next week then 3c by end of the month with a cold NEly wind from Scandi.:cold:

Alternatively a bitter toxic mix of a SEly and nuclear fall out coming up from the Middle East if the warmongers have their way.:sorry:
