Awoke early, to moonlight streaming through the bedroom windows, again. That soon became diffuse, as cloud encroached from the south, with rain not too far away, now.

Still feel, we may see a little wintriness in any showers that form, on Easter Sunday. Temps may seem a little too high but will drop, in any ppn. Once that small low, over our region ,drifts away east, we will be in a cold N to NE flow, for much of Sunday, with upper air just about supportive, for any showers that form, to be a little wintry, still.

Modele UKMO - Carte prévisions

Really can't see much in the way of snowfall, south of Scotland, on Easter Monday. Imo, milder air will quickly overrun colder air further north. METEOGROUPS snow graphics, looking a tad over cautious, to me and too far south!!. Hope I'm wrong, for those members north of our region but I just don't get the talk of "disruptive snowfall". Most overnight runs go on to show a warmer SE flow developing, as we head further, into April.

Had early cuppa and breakfast with wife, before she left at 6.30 to start her 12 hour shift. She has the same tomorrow. Before losing my job, through illness, I sometimes worked, every day of the Easter period. Didn't find it too bad but Easter Monday's were a little tedious.

I prefer to watch BBC news, during breakfast time, I find their news and weather items more informative, than ITV. But wife, Colette, prefers ITV, and where the remote control is concerned, she's boss, plus some of the time she's working, so I dutifully concede. I find some ITV presenters a bit vacuous and irritating. Plus GMTV seem to be obsessed by some subjects!!

As I stated the other day, when I'm still in Winter, "snow chasing mode", I take little notice of daily forecasts, unless wintry, of course!! But my attention was certainly grabbed the other day, by the vision of the gorgeous Lucy Verasamy, in "that" dress!!

Style icon: Richard had said he was a fan of her mini dress, (pictured) before joking Lucy should 'test' the dress in the rain to see if it shrinks, seconds before introducing a feature on the #MeToo movement

Naughty, naughty, Richard Madeley, I wonder what Judy, thought??

That forecast, certainly caught my attention. My wife wasn't too perturbed by her husband, ogling Ms Verasamy. Colette has her own, brown-eyed, brunette, Irish beauty, going on. So why should she?

Not wanting to be branded sexist and upset the female members of this thread, I'll be even handed and post up a little "olive branch", treat.

 P10801242.jpg

Some members of this forum class Mr.Hammond, as a bit of a "heart-throb", my wife thinks he's "dishy", too. ( her own words, I might add!! )

Sorry to mods/forum hosts, if this post has been, too off-topic. But I'd respectfully argue that it's more "weather related", than "goat posting". No offence meant, to all you "goat posters", out there!!

Regards,

Tom.

The weather by and large other than the cold snowy snaps/spells since the end of Feb has been absolutely tripe!...rain rain and more rain. The last time we had a high pressure cell over the country for more than a couple of days you have to go back to May of last year...says it all!! :(

Can confirm, just been under that heavier blob on radar. It almost seemed convective, as there were very large raindrops mixed in.

Another foul day here, chucking it down yet again and the temperature is a chilly 7C. Lots more of this rubbish to come, sadly.

Much the same here, don't know if it's my age but when I went to get the paper - the 7.5C felt warm and humid rather than chilly :D

Indeed. When it’s rain we get hit in the middle of it .

yet when it’s snow it goes to the west of us like last two cold spells, can’t make this crud up:wallbash:

Yes I’m still annoyed by how our region missed the heavy snow this month.

I really feel for the folk who have come down here for the Bank Holiday weekend, today has been atrocious. So far the max temp is 6.9c and it's been raining since about 9am.

I can imagine it being a popular destination for a four day easter break where you are, but we seem to be stuck in winter.
