Yes, certainly agree with those comments Phil.

Right my daughter, HAYLEYBR7s, selections. She's in good form at the moment, she' s just backed the winner of the Irish Grand National, General Principle, she took 25/1.( Yet another winner for Gordon Elliott and Gigginstown House Stud Michael O'Leary, Ryanair boss). Anyway, I digress.

Thanks ghoneym, that's brilliant and thanks for liking my post, on the Scotland thread. I'll go and enter your selections, in my special Masters folder. I know the format probably sounds a bit complicated but should become clearer, as the tournament progresses. X.SCHAUFFELE will earn you MINUS 5 pts, should he win.

Good luck.

Not long to wait now, to the start of "The Masters". Can't wait!!

And just to get you in the mood:

I've sorted out some "virtual" prizes for the Masters Fantasy Competition:

1st Place = A "virtual" battery powered Golf bag and Ping clubs: 51M0MODdESL.jpg

2nd Place = A "virtual" box of Titleist Golf Balls; 20944a_lg.jpeg

Many Thanks to Ping, Titleist and Steve Murr (Although he doesn't know it yet!!), for the donation, of the above prizes.

I don't have Sky Sports, so will be watching highlights on BBC, I wonder if they will have their "Red Button Facility", in operation??

I will be using the U.S.P.G.A. website, for scoring the Fantasy Competition and for those of you, wanting to keep their own scores. See link below:

https://www.pgatour.com/

Remember, those members still wanting to enter, or entrants wanting to change their NAPS or selections, you have until lunchtime, tomorrow, to post up your entry or any changes, to selections.

That's brilliant Matt, thank you. ^^^^^^^ Have decided to  extend the cut-off time for entries to 9 pm, tonight. That gives any of you that have been working, time to have a little "study-up", before posting your entry.in here. Any of you that have already posted their entries also have until 9 pm tonigh,t to make any changes to selections or indeed NAPs. Will be back in a while to post up Fantasy Players tee-times plus Competition Entrants NAPs and points value, BBC coverage times and more Golf Competition dates, for your diaries.

If this Fantasy Competition proves a success and popular, on the Masters, you might want to make a note of these tournaments, I wouldn't mind hosting a Fantasy Competition for:

10th - 13th May. TPC @ Sawgrass ( AKA at Sunderland's as the TCP at Sore A..e) AKA as the unofficial 5th Major. With huge prize money and a very competitive field.

14th - 17th June. US Open - Shinnecock Hills, New York.

19th - 22nd July. The Open Championship - Carnoustie, Scotland.

9th - 12th August. U.S.P.G.A. Championship - Bellerive, St.Louis.

Those "eagle-eyed" amongst you will have noticed that I hadn't highlighted, T.Hatton.  So I've posted that list up again, of Tee-Times and Fantasy Golfers, highlighted in bold.

Also I've realised that B.Snedeker (USA), failed to qualify for the Masters. That affects my son, AntonyBR7 and Suxer. So I will get in touch with them, for another selection from that group.

I've heard from my son, AntonyBR7, and he wants to sub B.HARMAN(USA) for B.SNEDEKER.

Have sent SUXER a Sticky Note but havn't heard back from him, yet. If he doesn't get back to me before 9 pm, I'll place him on the first available player above B.SNEDEKER. , in GROUP D, which will be M.KUCHAR (USA).

Have decided to allow late entries into the US Masters Fantasy Competition, right up until the first tee-off time, at 1.30 pm, tomorrow afternoon, 8.30 am, local time in Augusta.

And again any entrant wanting to make late changes to selections, or change NAP selections, have until that first 3 ball, tee-off time.

I'm sure that will be acceptable, for all entrants, as there's no prize money, on offer.

I had to have strict entry deadlines, when I was hosting these competitions, at Sunderland's Bookmakers. In those days, in one instance I had just over £1,000, in total prize money for a Champions League Competition. I had a few colleagues trying to hand their entry forms in, on the Wednesday morning, after the first match day, on the Tuesday evening. A few of them had a suspicious number of correct scores right and had found a few obscure goalscorers but with that amount of prize money on offer, I had no choice but to disqualify them.

So if you could have any last minute entries in before, 1.30 pm tomorrow afternoon, the time of the tee-off of the first 3 ball, that's 8.30 am Augusta, Georgia, time. Many thanks.

Group 1: Austin Cook, Ted Potter Jr, Wesley Bryan - 1:30 PM BST

Regards,

Tom.

Morning all, not long to wait now, until the start of the Masters.

Thought it might be fun to introduce  a bit of spice into the competition, on a daily basis. But this will have no bearing on the Fantasy Competition, I'm sure it will be too late for some entrants of the "Fantasy Competition", to view this post, due to work commitments ,not having access to a computer, etc. It's just a trial exercise, if you like and if popular, would like to introduce it, into the next "Fantasy Golf Competition"

I'm going to introduce 4 daily elements, four daily competitions, in one, if you like.

1) There are six very "tasty" Fantasy 3 ball groupings. I would like entrants to name the winner, of each grouping. Each correct prediction, would earn you 1 point. See the six 3 balls, below, with Bookmakers, William Hills, 3 ball betting, attached, as a guide.

Group 12: Tiger Woods 11/10 Marc Leishman 9/4 Tommy Fleetwood 11/5 - 3:42 PM BST

Group 14  Bubba Watson 6/4 Henrik Stenson 11/5 Jason Day 8/5 - 4.04 BST

Group 26: Phil Mickelson 7/5 Rickie Fowler 7/4 Matt Kuchar 11/5 - 6:27 PM BST

Group 27: Adam Scott 12/5 Rory McIlroy 6/5 Jon Rahm 15/8 - 6:38 PM BST

Group 28: Jordan Spieth 11/10 Alex Noren 21/10 Louis Oosthuizen 12/5 - 6.40 BST

Group 29: Justin Rose 7/5 Dustin Johnson 5/4 Rafael Cabrera-Bello 16/5- 7:00 PM BST

Group 29: Justin Rose 7/5 Dustin Johnson 5/4 Rafael Cabrera-Bello 16/5- 7:00 PM BST

2) Predict the golfer to card the lowest score, in today's first round, in each of the four "Fantasy Groups". Although not quite the same as Group Betting, against each golfer, is William Hills price, to be first round leader, use that as a gude.

GROUP A

R.McILROY  -  14

T.FINAU. - 80.

Now, a few  "stocking fillers".

3) Name the Top American player, after Day 1

4) Name the Top European player, after Day 1

5) Name the Top Rest of the World player, after Day 1.

As I stated above, this extra format, is just a daily "appetiser" and I just want to see how it works. I f it's popular, I want to incorporate it into future Golf Competitions. For this trial basis, I'll award 1 point, for each correct prediction, for the above "elements. But NONE of the above will feature, in this Masters competition!!

As I stated last night, I've extended the cut-off time for entries and any changes to selections and NAPS, until 1.30, our time. The time,  the first 3 ball, tees off.
