T has dropped 0.6 C in the last hour.

A68 Carter bar is now finally turning white in earnest, after being a slushy mess at best until now.

Maybe a sign of things to come?

Pentlands cam starting to look a little better - hopefully the snow level is coming down as the ppn gets a wee bit heavier and the temp drops:

Heavy constant snow piling down here, but not piling up.  Just grass white for now.

Was hoping for my 40th snow day, but it's a couple of hours too late. Darn.

For the purpose of the Regional thread perhaps we could count snow lying at any time of day? Instead of the met o >50% cover at 9AM?  For snow falling days don't they count it as a flake at any time?

Still dry here but a cold wind coming in from the East.

Raw, damp and cold in Leith. A few visible snow flakes appearing in the mix every now and again...suggestive that higher parts of the city and beyond could see something sticking later on, albeit more like wallpaper paste for some. Was watching the groundsman give Hillside Bowling club it's first spring grasscut a couple of hours ago, doubt there was much to trim, there's been little grass growth here in contrast to more recent winters where local parks have seen some pretty lush growth into Feb/March.

Same here, just keeps on falling but not lying yet. The hill out front has turned pure white just above my elevation. Hubby says temp now reading 0.5C.

Not long now before it gets heavy!

Wet sleety snow here in Thornton at 50m ASL. None laying but bitter out in the wind.

Out with dog on the beach at Kirkcaldy earlier, load of fresh driftwood and other debris on the high spring tide line. Strong Easterly winds and waves stripping even more sand off the beach at Seafield with bare bedrock showing in several places that are normally covered.

Fairly hammering down now.

Finally starting to lie here.

Weirdly, the trees are all white now, but the warmer ground has been putting up more of a fight.

T has fallen from 3 C to 1.6 C over the past few hours.

The band of sleet/snow is relentlessly creeping northwards towards my location, according to the radar, that is.

Feels bitter outside.

Hope the roads remain unaffected overnight as I intend to visit daughter in Border territory tomorrow.

A mix of rain and snow on here now. Going wintry earlier than expected so possibilities for later maybe even though I am on fairly low ground. Warning area stops just a bit to my North West.

Starting to lie here now as well, still belting down and blowing sideways.
