Snaw's on: a few flakes at first; now properly getting going. Wind strengthening, too.  1.1C/-2C.

Hmm.........At the moment I'm not so sure about this 'event'.   Looking at the radar, the system doesn't appear to be making sufficient inroads to the eastern side of the country.  I don't like the look of that typical north/south split to the west which is developing (as far as Fife is concerned) either.

Still, early days though.

My parents in NI have reported rain so heavy at the minute that it's blowing the drain covers off all over the place! If that moves across and turns to snow or freezing rain then somewhere's in trouble!

Violent winds here now hope we get some rain soon to calm it down.  Cows went out to neeps for about an hour and then ran back in this morning  and are now snoozing on a  fresh straw bed   Currently 2.5c

Precipitation has now reached here. It is a rain / frozen rain mix as it gets heavier. Sounds noisy as it hits but not white like hail. Temp has dropped a tad to 1.8C
