Thought it had gone quiet so peeked behind the curtains for a look. Not that I could see much as the window was plastered in snow top to bottom.

Band pretty much moved through now. Hee haw apart from a few flakes in the mix earlier. Kinda had a feeling it wouldn't pan out here - rarely does in these situations. Nice to see others finally getting some lying snow

Am I sad that my first thought was ‘that’s a great lamppost for watching the snow’ lol

Cat really unhappy. "Not that bloody cold white stuff again - what did I do wrong?" ....

You chose a weathorak for a pet, that's what you did wrong!

Just as the rain was starting to turn to something more wintry, it stopped. Hadn't realised just how sodden the garden was until to went out for some logs. I see @More Snow has popped into the Model Thread with a few pictures

Pelting rain here, stormy, but nothing icy or snowy, just horrible.

Off shortly, to snuggle under the duvet with a read.

Hold it...hold it...we have a COVERING. Looks very wet but grass, cars and even the driveway are plastered in a layer of snaw (© More Snow) . Pity its due to warm up overnight as it'd be nice to see it in the morning, when I can actallly see more than a few feet.

Has been lashing with rain since 4pm and downright stormy outside - but not a flake of snow to be seen, indeed temperature has risen outside to 2.1C after hitting a low of 1.5C earlier this evening.

Don't think you would need to go much further west though to get some of the white stuff. Pitlochry is looking rather picturesque at the moment.

Snaw here too and sticking. Sharing the joy with @More Snow as this is our first snow in new house. Looking at radar I think that's it and its not much, but still so lovely to see!

Hey all, just back from a trip out to enjoy the snow here.  Very very wet and slushy in town, but go up to Broxden and it was really rather heavy with the buses having a hard time getting through.  Just as a warning though, if any of this freezes overnight then the pavements and roads are going to absolutely lethal in the morning, so be careful if you're out and about first thing!

Looks very festive. Free Christmas decoration, don't even need to put it up.

Missed all the fun here, have to say this was one of the biggest let downs from an amber warning i've ever seen.Nothing more than rain at lower levels through the central belt.Fair enough higher levels got some snow but an amber warning over such a big area clearly wasn't needed, even a yellow warning is pushing it where i am.
