Just checked my minimum temp from last night, -1.6c. Struggling up to 4c just now, white frost still on the grass from last night. No sun now in the village until the back end of January next year, so it will always be that bit chillier here. Hope it's lovely where you all are!

Was beautiful up at Glen Tilt yesterday, a fine walk in the sun.

However back in Dundee and St Andrews it’s been grey and cool again today and the next couple of days look dire for us east coasties, grey, chilly and wet with a gnawing easterly breeze.

Morning all! A bit warmer here this morning, currently 4.4c with a light wind and some cloud. At least it's dry! Long may it continue!

Weather still advancing from the east this morning/afternoon – cold, 6C, breezy, drizzly but with an odd glimpse of the sun.

Tonight I shall start the countdown of “sleeps” until the winter solstice. I know it will be a week or two thereafter until daylight hours appear to increase, but the solstice is a positive psychological way-mark to the passing of the darkest days.

Just passed fort william and the Ben is cloudy with white spattering just visible. The Pap looked more impressive. Plenty of blue patches so far but becoming scarcer now starting up glen mor. Stiff breeze and 7C - loch lochy with white horses. Home soon!

Heavy frequent showers here coming in on a cold wind from the North Sea. Even a hint of wintryness on the windscreen coming home.

Looks like my return could be just in time for my favourite weather type. the hunt for cold thread is a fun place to be this evening, people at each others throats already..

Somebody on a forum saying we might get  widespread snow in the first week of Dec... is that right?

It was a chilly, showery, unpleasant day with a nagging strong easterly breeze....and yet better than I expected because at least we saw glimpses of the sun between showers!

Woke up to a dark depressing day, with persistent overnight/morning rain and a cold, gusty, east wind. Just a quick trot round the garden with doggie this morning.

That'd be right! I'm away with work that week
