I hope these storms stay away from Murrayfield later when I goto see The Rolling Stones because I don't want to ask someone to gimme shelter. I know its only rock n roll and I guess you can't always get what you want but I am sure I will get plenty of satisfaction

The gods must be moving a fair bit of furniture above Rothiemurchus just now, no downpour yet but the light is like 10pm and some seriously noisy skies for the last hour

Only a matter of time I suspect, plenty of cumulus and towering cumulus now. Much better visibility than with last weekends murky storms (which missed here anyway)

Flash crash bang wallop! For the past hour or so. Some torrential rain, too. Towers had been building since mid-morning and they delivered. Max of 21.7C.

Big towers building earlier, now deep rumbles in the distance, and gone very dark.

Been a hot humid day again, lawn all cut thankfully.

Some tasty rumbles of thunder from a developing storm in Glasgow, looks pretty central/ slightly too the south of the city centre. Frequent rumbles being heard.

I can hear some distant rumbles from that storm over Glasgow, it looks pretty strong!! Everything north or east of here at the moment.

The car said 23C in Peebles earlier. And now back home had a couple of hours of crash bang wallop and some steady but not torrential rain. Great summer's day!

Nothing forecast for here but in the last half hour some pretty threatening looking clouds building to our West. Sun has gone and temp dropped quickly from 18.5C to 14.5C. Brought the washing in just in case!

edit. It better rain now. If so it will be the first measurable rain since May 13th.

The Glasgow storm is definetly building out, frequent thunder getting louder and skies darker even though its moving away from me.

That storm to the north of the city is quite active and doesn’t seem to be moving far.

I just found a decent viewpoint overlooking the city. Frequent cloud to cloud lightning with some Good cgs

Suns back out here. Didn’t get a drop of rain. Drought continues. Tomorrow maybe?
