Feel as though I am living in Florida with this weather. Storms already kicking off :)

Exciting day ahead - especially with things kicking off so early. Towers going up very quickly looking at the sat loop.

Really humid here and muggy, cloud barely moving - so anything that kicks off is going to be very slow moving. Somewhere will get a spectacular show today.

Nearest turning point I could find was for Falkirk West. http://rasp.stratus.org.uk/app/blipbytp.php

1300J/Kg is impressive.

Warm, sunny and humid again.  More evidence of convection and earlier too buy I still don't think we'll get any rain here.  Ground is parched.

25C here currently and plenty of cloud bubbling up, but nothing 'interesting' looking yet.

Did a quick check of the bees earlier and getting the bee suit off again was bliss.

Some thunder from the cell over Milngavie.

Heard a few rumbles of thunder down here closer to the City Centre. Amazing how the cloud has just bubbled up from nowhere. The action looked to be more towards the east as far as I could see from here. Very calm here just now.

Just opened the radar - can see some v bright colours all around the Glasgow area. Are any of these showers actually moving at all? If not then somewhere will be getting flooded.

More organised activity to the south east.

Nothing particularly heavy here at Mar Lodge Estate but thankfully it has been raining all day. We’ve been on edge for weeks in case someone did something silly with a fire or bbq, so the rain is desperately needed to reduce the extreme fire risk.....but it’ll take much more of this to swell the rivers again and wet the peat.

More rain absolutely no wind to move things probably stuck underneath it for a while

Hearing we missed another deluge when we were out earlier, accompanied by thunder and lightning. The humidity is such that there is little to show for the rain though. Temp at 24c, was 19c at midnight last night, considering last year we basically had an evening fire on through the year the continuous warmth in this spell has been remarkable

Yes almost tropical these last two days and growth is responding. A thundery shower late afternoon yesterday and very misty drizzly nights is keeping plants hydrated . a maximum of 22c today.

Boy was that intense. Some serious flash flooding on main road through Banknock. Lots of thunder and lightning.

Another stunning barbecue day - been able to use that more in the last fortnight than in the entirety of 2017.

Maximum temperature of 25C and light winds.

This morning thought there might have been a shower as the clouds bubbled up quickly to the North and West of us with a rumble of thunder in the distance around lunchtime.....

But the wind managed to keep the showers away from us, instead exporting them up towards the W/NW like yesterday.

Lovely sunset to round off a pretty perfect day...

Three flashes at least to the north of Alford about 2pm, cloud to cloud somewhere roughly above Rhynie. A bit of rain from that at my new house (catching the edge of it) then a quick deluge later, about 6pm.

Hope you’re all enjoying your summer while it lasts. ;)

Some meaningful rainfall for Central Belt south at long last although much of Scotland clear from it, if ECM is right welcome autumn, so long summer 2018 see you next year, I kid! Night is not the only thing that’s young.
