Fantastic sunset with very clear skies. Temperature    this evening is falling like a stone, already 4c .             -1c or lower tomorrow morning?

Just a touch of ground frost this morning, hopefully not enough to mess with the recently opened plum blossom.

Spent yesterday battling dandelions, buttercup and daisy. Not cows, weeds.

Scraped a frost this morning with a minimum of -0.1C. An absolute belter of a day ahead - sunshine all the way. Midweek looks a bit meh, then signs of a bit more warmth by the weekend, though less clear cut about whether sunny/cloudy/wet for the Bank Holiday weekend. Enjoy a bonnie Monday, kilters. :good:

What a stunning evening, not a cloud in the sky and light winds but temperature is dropping quickly (now 5C, the day maximum being 12C at 4pm).

Temperature below freezing last night, grass was very white at 6am before the sun got to work on it.  Rest of day very serviceable, dry with a 60:40 mix of sunshine/clouds.

Not seen the solitary House Martin that arrived on the 22nd for the last couple days, maybe had enough of the Scottish weather already and started migrating south again!

Out looking at an animal just now that the vet saw today and noticed the first glow of the setting sun to the north just now a real indication of summer.. Cool at 4c but with almost a cloudless sky it will probably fall further. So a summer sky with winter temperatures typical  spring in Scotland

Was 1C when husband got up, is not at 6c and its only 7.40. Lovely clear sky so far. Garden still bare and very little growth, only my trusty aquilegia and a few tulips.

Frost overnight here. Was -0.7 C an hour ago. Not sure the garden appreciated it!

Now 0.9 C and sunny.

Hey kilties, hope everyone is well. A couple of cold ones with today and yesterday both starting at -6c. Highland weather with a nice wee weather stat for the area this morn

Have been enjoying the mostly fine spring weather of late. Was lovely up Meall fuar-mhonaidh on Sunday, great views of Loch Ness and its sprawl

A nocturnal visitor to the garden this last fortnight, a real rarity seeing a hedgehog in these parts, even more welcome given their declining numbers

Just walked up the farm road and we still have an almost full display of daffs with about 10% fading 85% in full bloom and about 5% still to open.Really brings home on the 1st of May how late spring is although fields/trees are now becoming greener.

0c very early morning and currently bright, windy and 12c.

Very frosty but sunny start, low of -2.6C at 4am, cold enough to damage the buds on the neighbours cherry tree.

Sun didn't last long and clouded over during mid morning and now skies look leaden grey towards the west and there are spits of rain in the gusty SSW wind.  Max temp of 13.5C.

Nice big high pressure system coming in over the weekend, hopefully some good weather coming up.

Similar here. An early frost then a sunny morning. Cloud has built through the afternoon and the first spots of rain started a few minutes ago.

It's cold and spitting rain and that breeze? Why? Why is it always so breezy? Is it me noticing it more as I slide helplessly into middle age, is my location bizzarely breezy or has it become windier in recent years?

To me as well its getting windier as time goes by .This afternoon we have had gale force gusts, spits of rain and dust blowing everywhere  really unpleasant conditions and although its 12c it feels very cold in the wind.

Definitely windier yes. That cold wind was there all last summer, I hope it's not back for this one.

Heavy rain, 5.5C and a biting wind - typical day in March.  Oh, wrong month with a M....

At least its starting to brighten up a bit now and temperature recovering to 10C but my goodness what an awful morning.

Turned out the same here, with some photogenic showers passing by as well.

A few hazy spells of sunshine but generally cloudy today with light winds and a maximum temperature of 15C.

Was a dry day until now - steady rain at moment which is wetting everything including the newly painted fence (humph, so much for the Met Office forecast of  "a little drizzle over the hills").

Wildlife highlight of the day was a Red Kite flying overhead, always a pleasant sight.
