I have taken the shovel, duvet, water and chocolate out of the car already.  How foolish was I thinking that winter is over?!  Going home at 4.30pm might be interesting up over the hills....

Aye, alternating rain, sleet and snow just now in Leith, looks like the cold undercut from the North is underway. No chance of it lying here but up your way and round about then it must be game on again. Radar isn't that intense but on and on it goes, day 3 of this cold garbage.

Good Morning all.

Well... yet another snowy surprise when waking up this morning!  Just a dusting here in town, but a few cms up on the hill.  I 'think' this might be the latest I've seen snow lying here... I can certainly remember it lying at the end of March in the past few years (for a few hours!) and I reckon this will probably be gone later.  Echoing what Edo said, I'm not exactly 'tired' of it by now, but it's starting to lose its novelty somewhat.  However, am off for the Easter holidays this week, so don't really mind it :)

Tim

As NL eluded, the weather is certainly on repeat, 5 days in the last 6 with an overnight covering. Cover 5+ inches as I left this morn with heavy snow

Hefty wall of snow heading south

A farmer on the radio earlier mentioned dealing with "an 8 or 9 month winter" hard to disagree, we'll have passed the 100 days snow lying/falling mark here, Looking forward to some weather where I can start shedding the layers at work, Gollum's skin saw more light

ironically it is the whitest it has been here durimg this spell right now and didnt expect that

yesterday i drove from Perth to Falkirk to Straiton and back to Perth in a kind of circle and the differences in snow in different areas was remarkable....

Auchterarder really is some kind of weird micro climate that always seems to do very well yet it is only 12 miles from. Perth and 90m higher at 100 ASL....

kids are actually. not phased by snow now that's a sign we have seen a lot falling this winter if not always givimg. significant depths.....

its weird not hearing excited yelps at flakes falling from the sky lets hope they are back next winter after a glorious summer.

Great ending to a hard story @More Snow heres to many snowy weathers together with the ?

@edo I was surprised to see the snow & how much was lying this morning. It’s  more like slush now than snow ?

Never thought I would say this but I hope this is the last of the snow.  I would like some dry & warm weather for a change. ☀️?

Back from walking the dog. Went to Kirkcaldy via Cluny and fields are white, lot of loose water lying in hollows with ground at saturation. Top end of town has snow on the grass but lower end is clear. Beach was wild with driving sleet on the Easterly wind. Grass at Seafield carpark squelching. Must be a real danger of flooding now as the ground can't take much more.

Yet more debris on the strand line with a high proportion of plastic based materials. Begining to get a real problem with it trapped in the Forth estuary.

Glad to be home again with lunch and a hot cuppa.

Fairly heavy wet snow now in Edinburgh City Center - miserable stuff altogether! Seriously considering ditching the office and working from home this afternoon! If nothing else the view from the window would be better :D
