Wet snow getting much heavier in Edinburgh now. On the bus and hoping to see it starting to stick by about Gillespie Crossroads :D

I reckon you might see it sticking about dovecot pitches at kingsknowe. :)

Wet snow now begining to lay on grass, bin lids and cars. Dog just been out for a wee - didn't think a lot of it. Now hunkered on settee giving me the 'where's my dinner?' look.

Correct sir :D

Edit: Funny how it always changes at Gillespie Crossroads though! From a bit of slush at Kingsknowe to full on winter in no time!

A covering now at Leadhills as the band of precipitation moves very very slowly across SW Scotland.

Planning to go through next weekend for a spot of gold panning. May have to rethink!

Looking ahead my local forecast still shows cool nights for the next fortnight. Had to turn away some  folk looking for for hay today as shed nearly empty.Still a great demand for forage  for sheep cattle and horses.  Next weekend seems to have gone cooler for us in the last 12 hours so this never ending winter is hanging on.

Breezy dull and very cold this afternoon currently 3c.

Having just been sent out to get an Easter Monday curry (WTF but great idea by my wife) I was parked in sight of Arthurs Seat. Snow is visibly lying on the back of Salisbury Crags which is about 550ft above sea level. Street level down here its alternating between rain/sleet and big downdrafts of wet flakes, thoroughly unpleasant evening. Now for the curry !

Heading up to Lossiemouth for our annual golf weekend on Thursday. Came back with a suntan last year but looks like I'll need plenty layers to keep warm this year.:cold:

After a day of sleety pish, it is now proper snow here. Not that heavy and it is only lying on the cars and the greenhouse roof so far.

2018, the winter that just won't leave!

Light, watery snaw came on around 4pm. Ebbing and flowing since then, but turning heavier now. Temp has  since the early afternoon high of 4.8C. Now 1.3C/-1C and snaw thinking of settling. No surch worries on the Langside (local hill road). Whiteyoot!

Yeah, makes for an interesting bus journey home when it's a bit marginal in town and then watching it turn snowier as you head up to Currie.

Good evening all

Spent the day on the railway in Aviemore, where it had snowed a bit (and settled) before I got there.  A few flakes now and again during the day, but mainly dry.  Back home now and sleety with the odd flake mixed in.  Trying really hard but I would very surprised if we get anything lying here.  Good luck to everyone... hope some of us see a last snow of the winter!

Tim

Field next door not looking spring like this evening. Hopefully lambs are indoors.

Snow and sleet on and off all day, now starting to settle on grass and cars. Been to see my mother in law who has Alzheimer's, she wished me a merry Xmas, possibly not far off.

Recently had a few sleety showers here, but looking north at the hills, the snow-line is dropping.

Having checked weather information on the forum, I've decided to cancel my proposed visit to Berwickshire tomorrow, which is really disappointing as I haven't seen my wee-est boy for about a month now.:(

On a more positive note, hope the ski runs get a good top up.

Horrible raw day, the sort where your breath condenses instantly but gets blown away across the street almost before it's left your lips. There was a foul sharp wintry shower an hour or so ago, otherwise almost dry so far. The radar shows the northward march but I'd be surprised to see much of anything here, these set ups rarely do more than dampen spirits.

Still pelting down here! Bizarre that the warning for here doesn't kickn in until midnight! Looking very wintry away from the roads where it just doesn't want to settle at all.

Amusingly the band dissipated just before Glenrothes and then reformed at Abernethy. Story of the whole winter for this square mile. Lots of snow days but the heavy stuff has always been a few miles away......within touching distance. Nice and white outside though and down to 0.1C.

Just a slight covering on the grass etc. The band just wasn't very heavy here and it's looking like it's about past here now. Still, snow in April. Don't get that every year.
