Rain in Stourbridge odd flash

Same here..

Around midnight had about 5 mins of heavy/torrential rain with 3 really bright (and impressive) IC lightning flashes (one with really impressive multiple branches). Thunder was about 10 seconds after, but not impressive.

MIA

Edit :

DIS1970....   Funny enough the sun has just appeared here 09:00). Much earlier than yesterday.

Tempt at 17.0C with a RH of 97%

The West Mids is JUST inside that metoffice yellow warning area, but who knows they may change that again later, t'storms tend to be nowcasts so it may be another day of watching and waiting. It is trying to brighten up here, but the cloud is very low, and there is alot of it.

Just looked at the metoffices's fax charts for today, and most of the unstable air, appears to be located down the Irish Sea coast lines and the NE coastline, which strangely enough can be seen on the satelite images, so should it be called quits for storms today?. Sun just briefly showed it's face, temp - 19.1C.

A bit of light rain over night. Looked very foggy/misty around 4am.

I doubt we shall get anything much here today. Will report anything significant.

Conditions started off very overcast and steamy this morning, but surprisingly a lot of it has already burnt away and we are enjoying some quite lengthy sunny periods.

Currently 22.5°C with a dp of 15.6°C

Lots of cu bubbling up around here, which is a good sign.

Looking at the forecasts and warnings, it could be that we're the place that spawns the storms for further north. However, we very nearly got in on the action last night, and there is a lot of development starting around here. It's a long afternoon and evening ahead, we shall see.

The fog cleared just before 0900 g.m.t, the same as the last three mornings, but since then it's been overcast, humid and warmish We could do with some sunny spells to trigger a bit of convection.

This country's love affair with cloud is always a massive blockage on the development of t'storms in summer.

Gone cloudy now after a few sunny intervals, warm though - 22.2C, still not a sniff of any activity.

I've never seen scenes like it in Shrewsbury town centre. Rain is pouring through the ceilings of the multi story car park like a waterfall. Absolutely crazy.

Fog first thing, soon cleared to give plenty of TCU and CB`s later nothing very impressive today though, very humid this morning.

Then had a shower after lunch which turned thundery to the north, heard another thundery to the SW,and finally was watching the clouds develop and the thundery shower to the east in total about 15 rumbles of thunder today.

Downpour and flooding in Codsall within the last hour. It appeared from nowhere on the radar. Still baking hot and sunny a mile or so away.

Noticed that, developed over the top of me, nothing more than just a few drops fell.

Thank God for that....I was going to start playing. ‘Misty for me’

In the last half an hour or so the radar is looking more and more interesting.

Currently 23.5c here and I can see it building to my Northwest

Showers seem to be missing our neck of the woods in Telford. Not had a drop of rain during the last 2 days despite been in the yellow warning zone. Just shows has hit and miss they are, Shrewsbuy has been battered this afternoon, it looked torrential! Also saw the showers developing over Wolvo/Brum on the radar.

What there is, is all West of Brum ATM, I can’t really work out what direction it’s all heading either.

Nothing much here. A little bit of fine rain around 7pm but it came to nothing. Cloudy ESE and a bit of dark cloud.

I hope I haven't moved to an area where weather is bland lol
