Moderate snow here now can't belive the system made it here well spotted guys. Met and BBC were wrong again.

Well, according to my Snow Radar app, we should be having heavy snow by about 9pm.

We shall see....

A cracking winter this year just keeps on giving  surprised this morning to see so much snow   Some might get a covering again tonight. Lovely

Yes, been a very long winter, better than normal as well, apart from an ordinary January, feel January is least wintry month anyway

Been snowing around an hour. Just leaving a dusting really on top of what we had, so not hugely exciting but quite pretty.

Just about  at its northern edge now I reckon (maybe 5 -10miles more)..

 So you may get something.

Here turning from light to light to moderate as the wind picks up,

Settling readily.

Temp now - 1.5C so still falling slowly. DP now -5.0C so a bit more moisture around.

MIA

I'm about half a mile from Walsall Town, 10 minutes away from Bloxwich, and its not much but the flakes are a little bigger and coming down more than it was the most of the day

So probably about 2 or 3 miles from you

Must be on very northern limit , I've even walked to bottom of my garden another 100ft or so south ? And set my neighbours security light on .... and not a flake spotted ?

Hopefully its slowly on its way to you, seems to be doing something strange around or over us.

Every 100ft counts, in these types of situations as it could mean all the difference haha

Well, unexpected snowfall again! Just light stuff currently as that band on the radar has only just reached here. Currently -0.4'C.

Looks like it's taking more of a westward direction now.

That heavy patch looked right on course for us now the winds looks like have changed and taking the system and the heavy areas with them south of us so we will probably get only light glancing blows on the northern edge tonight unless things change again for those in the Walsall area

Personally, I think the northern extent of the band will be Birmingham/Warwickshire but I hope i'm wrong!

Sadly I wasn't :( I feel sorry for people in Leicester, I remember living there for many years and seeing bands of snow miss us by about 20 miles to the North or South. Very annoying.

All stopped here. Looks too far south now and moving more Westwards.

Still plenty going on elsewhere by the looks of things. :D

think we'll get another snow event this winter? certainly more likely now, than it would be in an Atlantic dominated January?
