very heavy snow here and the wind is blowing the snow all round it is settling how ever when the Sun comes out it melts again  as for people writing off the snow event is because most of us won’t even get a covering  personally I don’t think the yellow warning for some part of the West Midlands is warranted

But 5 miles down the road they might get snow that warrants a yellow.  Do you want them to specify a different level for each and every house?

The yellow for the W. Midlands is towards unlikely so that fits in with the 'some folk not getting anything'.

DWW..

Next one on its way here.

Could be like this now all afternoon.

Yep here she blows...

It has taken all day to reach us, but now the showers are really active.

Big snow squall just went through  and dropped almost 1cm of snow in less than 10 minutes.

It's white over now and bodes well for later :-)

on the radar, there appears to be a trough coming up towards us from the south east, but it'll probably kill some of the shower activity for a while, but could mean a more organised band of snow later on

Winds are strong indeed,a few moderate snow/soft hail showers today sticking easily but not enough to drift only on the roof -1.1c currently.

Farewell to blizzard number 5. Number 6 should be here shortly :D

It is beginning now. Even if the snow doesn't settle that much fun watching these showers come over.

Where is tonight's snow coming from, as im forecast to get snow all night

There's a trough forming to the east , which will intensify as the night goes on, over the region (hopefully!!)

Showers becoming more persistent here. Blizzard number 6 has followed on from number 5 so quickly that the snow hasn't melted, and it looks like numbers 7 and 8 will follow shortly too. This is what we need tonight!
