Did the snow predicted for our region just move 50 miles north this morn ?

Looks like we're being teased with a possible, just possible Beast Mk2.

Rotten evening. Absolutely horrible walk home from work. Oh but 'the weather is so much better this week'.

Another snow patch seen 2pm today, back of school field Rob @bearing

Yeah, there's the odd bit still there.  Quite a bit down Acton Hill when I came up it on Thursday so assume there's still some left.

Lovely inversion the other morning around the Penk valley, Silkmore and Rising Brook areas.  The sky was crystal clear and looking over to the West of me from my bedroom window there was a blanket of mist concealing all but a few tree tops.  As the sun began to rise it started to dissipate and probably only lasted another 15 mins.  Funny how these little weather events are just as exciting to see as a full on blizzard.

Seen it at Radford Bank over fields there, especially over the water

I'd promised a couple of photographs of the 81-82 winter here in Stafford, Acton Trussell to be precise. I have got photos somewhere of cars buried in the drifts on this road so will have to have another dig.

Just up the road from here there were 20' drifts where the hedge and bank increased in height from the road and the snow just kept falling and blowing out through the hedges.

Drove through Huntington, just to the NW of Cannock last night, still quite a few drifts about, some of them actually very impressive still, a couple were probably about a foot high, unbelievable given the temps the last week.

Anyone drove through that area recently and noticed?
