I'm sure the netweather app has a severe fault, but it says a extreme snow event for next Sunday the 11th, i know these things are best ignored, but it just made me laugh a little, it must be a major error in data input.

Got clear periods overnight, but just missed out on frost.

Min was 0.3C,with a widespread ground frost preventing much snow loss.

2-3 cms  left in non-exposed areas, so another snow laying day.

Now  index is at 20:25.

A  burst of rain has just moved through here, and the temp is now warming up at 3.0C.

I still think that more snow is in the offing for the next few weeks. Probably with a surprise event.

Just watched Carole..:D

Possible sleet here but snow probable for the north of here for this evening as a front/low moves up from the south this afternoon.

It looks like very heavy rain with evaporation.

We will see.

Crikey, the temperature has now soared up to 10.6°C here - the first time we have reached double-digits since 20th February.

Got down to -0.2c but temp did rise somewhat after about 2c.

Snow down to 15cm on the lawn now,the drifts will be here until july.

Ditto here -- a max of 10.1 °C so far. Even though that's nothing special for early March, it feels really mild after the last week, especially in the occasional bursts of sunshine. Really does feel like spring now. :)

Actually there is a chance. Even Met Office speak of it.

Over the next weekend, there is the potential for a spell of very wet and windy weather in southern and central areas, with the chance of snow.

Teaming it down. Utterly miserable and boring.

As was said a couple of days ago, the rain never fails to reach us!

And people at work were saying 'Isn't it nice to look outside and not see snow?'.

Yeah. The miserable, grey, boring dullness is so much nicer.

I echo the rain issue. Heavy rain all night, never fails to materalise in Stoke. What I will say of last week was the awesomely low temps and blowing and drifting snow will live in memory for me, despite Stoke missing most of the heavy stuff. Sadly I missed the fun and games of Friday and Saturday in the Midlands as I went to Madrid (where guess what, it was raining with British like temps due to the jet stream location).

 HI Guys..

Keep the faith.

Will be off their for 2 or 3 days as I suspect my PC has been 'got at'.

Having it checked out.

Hoping to comeback to new 'blizzard' charts, so get it sorted out!"

PS  Temps at 4.6C and I have missed most of the rain over night.

Just one patch of snow left at 09:00 on my lawn. About 20cms square. Does it count as laying snow?.

Oh dang it,  I will count it!

That's now at 20 days with falling and 26 days laying.

Def my best since 2010 at least, with more with falling snow (I had 19 then but 43 days with laying), so it is a good winter in my opinion.

Good luck guys

MIA

Just get used to that term "mild" being in the spoken forecast from now on.
