Those of us who love cold will love the Ecm 00z ensemble mean which is very bullish about a cold outbreak from the east!:cold::D

Bitter cold easterly by Saturday!

Looks a lot like the 0z ECM with cold pool on a direct hit to UK!!

This seems to be upgrading in intensity and getting closer - crazy times and it’s so quiet in here !

ICON first out the blocks, and if this sets the bar for the 12z runs should be good viewing this afternoon.

The icon just keeps on giving. A crazy run in January never mind mid March

The end of the ICON is phenomenal with a re-load from the NE:D

I'll believe it once Mr Murr returns and starts posting ;-)

The gfs 12z is an upgrade too, look at the curvature S Scandi and tighter isobars at 114 v's 06z 120.

Edit:gfs more bullish too in getting the cold in quicker now.

GFS is going to be good:

Just like last time it seems the models cannot decide where the high pressure will be located and whether the blast will go south or not. Fortunately for cold lovers the upper air temps seem to be being revised colder as time goes on.

Could be a potent blast in this run.

GEM - sudden jump - now on board, that's a hat trick of models so far, UKMO less bullish still though although still a glancing blow so perhaps some snow showers for the SE.

GFS at T132, just look at that purple tongue of cold air, albeit with some stuff on top that will probably require a special toothbrush, just poised to lick the Kent coast:

GFS very good, an upgrade on the 6z with frigid air much further North - still not as good as the Arpege and Icon but better than UKMO - more than just a glancing blow.
