Heaviest snow i've seen for a while. Far heavier than two weeks ago.

I was just looking out of the window lamp post watching and to my horror saw this dodgy looking geezer looking directly back at me and he was wearing a ridiculous cookie monster onesie!.....Imagine my relief when I realised it was just my reflection

I'm in this thread as my sis and brother in law live in Cheltenham.. this really tickled me

The snow is now so heavy that it is accumulating over wet surfaces.

Starting to stick on the pavement and roads. Need a couple of hours of this intensity. Enough for sledging already tho.

Roads have a decent covering now. I think we're safely going to keep the snow for the day tomorrow.

Woken up to a rather nice looking radar picture this morning.

Just a smattering on the ground currently but flakes are starting to increase in size and rate outside. Will be happier once that darker shading currently on the radar to my east is overhead though.

So happy, found the switch on the security light which keeps it on permanently. So is the cat, no need for me to keep putting him outside to set it off:D

If you get what we are getting at the moment then you'll have a fun couple of hours. What's your thoughts on the snow this evening. Been a bit of an upgrade imo for the south coast.

No streetlights where I am and only one security light away from mine... My cat, who normally loves the snow (he has either Norwegian or Siberian forest cat genes), would actually fight me this morning if I tried to do that :D We are getting hammered here and still falling...

Just woke up early and really glad I did. Coming down heavily here in South Glos. Think we'll end up with a good few cm's from this.

I think the METO have called this wrong and the amber zone should have been further north including Bristol and south Glos.

I agree at the moment unless there's a sudden change.

Not sure because places like Taunton are due to have heavy snow until midday. It will be interesting to look back tho. Exeter, heavy snow from 7.00 until 5.00 this evening.
