According to the radar it’s not raining here but according to the window it definitely is raining fairly heavily.

I dare say the rain developed between the radar time and being at your location. The net weather radar normally updates 6 to 7 minutes after the latest time it shows so at 15.37 the 15.30 radar appears.

Some very intense rain from Portsmouth towards Devizes now.

Yes I looked back at it later and it seems it developed more or less overhead. The next lot of rain just starting now is definitely showing on there.

You have to be careful though, some windows are frosted, so you won't see diddly squat, not even frost..

Yup it's interesting to how feisty that front is, but yet it again it really has powered up anywhere and everywhere outside of Dorset.

Heavy downpours and big thunder in Wantage right now, lights wobbled.  Really unusual this time of year.  Ironically, I was in the middle of preparing a musing in the MOD thread!

From radar, looks like the main action just south of Newbury.

Interesting to get thunder from this setup so early in the year, I think 2005 was the last time I remember southerly thunder. Normally it's Atlantic-based showery air streams. Interesting nonetheless.
