Yep. And weak convective parameters develop tomorrow, for Southern counties. Weak mixed-layer CAPE, steepening lapse rates  associated with an upper trough, ahead of an occlusion will aid some instability.

TT indices tomorrow would've been great if we had some extra heat ie late Spring in to Summer.

Nothing drastic tomorrow, but a risk nonetheless. Hopefully, someone across the region might get lucky!

What does does the total totals chart show?

TT index is calculation from 850hPa & 500mb temps and  850hPa dew points. It's to give a guide to storm strength and how widespread / isolated they might be.

They shouldn't be taken as a literal source though, as many other factors contribute to whether storms may or may not develop. That's where skew-t diagrams help. However, I don't fully know how to read them, yet. I just know the basics in what to look for. knocker is pretty good with skew-t - worth a PM to him if you need to know more about them.

Reached 10.1°C so just about made it to double figures although a couple of degrees below the 12.2°C on the 2nd Jan. With the sea breeze, it didn't feel that mild here. Currently 5.4°C.

First altocumulus castellanus clouds of the year visible through lower cloud. Other than the temperature, quite a plumey look about things.

Thick, low cloud here. You cannot see any structure to the cloud, it's like a sheet. It's feeling pretty cold in that Easterly wind, as well.

And radar shows a sheet of rain inbound.

Its clouding over here.

Despite being higher than yesterday at 10.9°C, it doesn’t feel that mild and if anything feels cooler than yesterday.

According to the radar it’s not raining here but according to the window it definitely is raining fairly heavily.

Very dark brooding sky out there at the moment. Have had some classic convective 50p style raindrops but awaiting a proper downpour.
