Missing the action as currently in Fuerteventura where weather is OK but not great. Should be hitting 24/25c by now but hovering around 21c with cloud spilling in on a NW wind.

Hope it’s better than when a friend went last week, was Cloudy and barely getting above 16/17c

22/23c. Sunny yday, Thurs and Wed. Today a shower at midday but then sunny with clouds. V windy but not from usual NE direction; NW off the Atlantic, hence cloud and shower threat. Locals saying the 26/27c days still not arrived yet but should have by now. Cooler than norm.

More thunder just gone through here.Gunshot just over the road and a couple of fields away (the barracks!) just had me nearly screaming the house down a bit ago! Managed to get eldest down for 45 minutes then that woke us ... she's now in with daddy and I'm on the sofa!

4.4mm of rain after that showery afternoon and evening yesterday and 0.8mm since midnight.
Lots of thunder and lightning all evening through to around midnight.
Wind picked up to 12-20mph during the storm with some 25-28mph gusts. Noticed the direction was ESE, SE and SSE during the storm.

Sunny blue sky morning here.
13.9c now after a low at 6am of 11.4c.
Wind sse and very light.

The morning after the evening/night before is serene with sunshine, AltCas and warming quite quickly at 14.2c .

I wonder if the cold front will spark into life as it moves through early afternoon.

Goodness me what an evening/night that was!!

Morning all a fresher start to the day with lower temperatures, currently 15.5C and the wind now in from the SW. 2.4mm of rain confirms we were off the action last night.

Looks like the warmest part of the day has passed. Still quite plumey looking clouds, but more clouds than sun and the temperature on the slide.

Just 0.8mm of rain here. Everything missed me, but it was nice to see a bit of distance lightning this early in the season.

Blue skies all the way here. 16.8°C

Possibly the Isle of Wight V sign could have been active here, arrives by the island, one lot goes East and the other West, driving about little sign of much rainfall overnight, was aware of some big lightning flashes, this confirmed by Facebook videos from 4 miles away in the town.

Currently 18.6, with a light breeze very refreshing...some patchy cloud, but a good day to get out in the garden without sweltering...

Lightning seen to the West and fairly frequent thunder. It sounds and looks angry.

Only reached 14.6°C today and that was this morning. Since the breeze got up early this afternoon it’s been dull and feeling quite cold. Also a bit of fog around lunchtime.

Someone said after the snow, right they had enough now bring on summer and storms .

well their prayers were answered and much much much sooner than we all expected .

i can’t belive what a month April 2018 has been and the winter ong 2018

Astonishing weather

more akin to USA with cold

then warm with storms

Thoughts of the expected dry, bright day over already with light/drizzly rain in the last hour and radar showing similar covering a wide area of East Somerset and West Wiltshire!
