Well we might not have had any convective weather so far this year, but that was worth waiting for. :yahoo:

My iPhone camera isn't picking up the flashes so well, there must be some reasoning behind that, I am guessing too dark for the camera

Easiest way to get lighting on a phone, is to record a video in 4K, then use software to take an 8MP still from it.

Much more rain from that storm than the first one with 9.0mm falling in about 30 minutes. Highest rain rate from that storm was 110.8mm/hr.

Just got back from a rather soggy barbecue, had a very impressive shelf cloud and fantastic storm come straight over us circa 9pm and am seeing plenty of lovely lightening to the SE of me in the far distance. Very impressive storm, not seen one like that for quite some years, plenty of fork lightening zooming across the sky in all directions and some lovely colors oo.

Well that was the most intense storm I have ever seen. Like a really intense squall but lasted about an hour. Quite frankly I hope that's it for tonight because I was enjoying walking on the grass for a day or two before that lot.

Incredible storms here this evening, two rounds of close strikes and very heavy rain! The second storm was much more organised and produced 2 hours of constant lightning and thunder! Best in years!

IOW, looks like your third dose it appearing now just off your South West

To get 1 severe thunderstorm is quite rare in a year, to get 2 in 5 hours in April is incredible!

About as rare as Beasts From The East! Oh yea lol.

Two sets of storms that have completely missed me. A gap appears, then closes after it has passed.

I can see flashing out West from here. Not even got the child back to sleep yet! I'm on her floor on a matress. She is jumping at every small noise. Gonna be a long night. Gonna close my eyes and try to get 20 in before that Salisbury one gets noisy.
