I had some thunder and  lighting in warminster in Wiltshire and I thought there's thunderstorms in Bournemouth going to come   my way to night

I live mid way between Portsmouth and Southampton and I think our house must have been under the main path of the storms this evening! I don't remember the last time I remember seeing so many lightning flashes over such a long period of time. I think when the last big storm rolled through just now for a period of 15-20 minutes there was a lightning flash every 3-4 seconds. The rain was absolutely torrential as well and you could hear it hammering on the roof wherever you were in the house. After last months snow, this week's warmth and tonight's light show 2018 is proving to be one of the more interesting weather years so far

My iPhone camera isn't picking up the flashes so well, there must be some reasoning behind that, I am guessing too dark for the camera

It’s interesting that the two storms managed to get all the way across the channel, with out a loss of intensity, especially this early in the season.
