6.8mm in the last 45 minutes.

Yes, our Sky Q went off for about ten minutes at the height of the storm too.

All quiet here now after that lot. Not a huge amount of rain from it, 2.8mm in total.

Happy for those with a result - sweating it a bit in Stroud, might drift east, might be in a gap, or Bristol could be the end of it! Need a real good storm, even if just 20 mins, been ages here. March and April will go down as best 2 month period for bloody ages then, snow, and snow again, and hot, and a storm!

Cracking storm! Really atmospheric light with very frequent thunder and lightning. The wind really got up before the storm hit as well making things feel cool.

We have an absolute humdinger of a thunderstorm going on here in South Glos. Frequent bright lightening, massive claps of thunder, heavy rain and squally winds. Loving it!

Absolutely staggered the Met Office warning for Northern England didn’t cover Southern England as well. Absolutely insane rain/hail over parts of Wilts not to mention the lightening. Thought that was why the new Thunderstorm category was added to the list of types of severe weather.

No weather warnings until now!! That was an extremely violent storm! And I can imagine with the fork lighting still coming  from the back end of this storm it’s only going to get worse

Passing away to the NE now, lightning less frequent but if anything strikes are more powerful.

Looking forward to reviewing the radar to see how it developed from 19.00 as nothing was on a direct hit so outflow storms formed very quickly SE of the initial main one.
