It’s my birthday today, so I celebrated by mowing the lawn. Or should I say BOG. My god it’s wet! Hopefully now the grass is cleared, the sun will dry it out a bit.. I can dream. Just ordered moss killer as the moss has taken hold and got seeds to start some indoor propagating. Birthdays aren’t what they used to be ?

Wondering why it's so quiet in here (apart from @khodds birthday) when it looks like some of our area might have had an early thunderstorm!

Really? Been dry here, sunny and a bit warm too. Makes a change ?

Image result for it's your birthday gif

Once you get past 21 the significance of birthdays falls exponentially, HOWEVER you seem to still be having fun....mowing the bog,  spending on things to make everything look nice like moss killer. What more could a girl ask for....I know the bottle of gin.....ENJOY your day...

My indoor temperature is starting to finally respond to warmer weather :D

It's been a full long month without central heating.

Indeed. Wasn't overhead here but it grew just to the north of my location and gave some good thunderclaps as it moved over Clevedon, Portishead and Avonmouth.

And a Happy Birthday @khodds!

They didn't mention saturated ground in their warnings, it was simply for rain amounts. Anyway, as I said previously, more rain fell in the larger warning zone, which has lower rain totals forecast. There were even totals larger than here that weren't even in a warning zone. The Euro4 model over-did the rain intensity by a long way. Cornwall, Devon, Somerset in to South & North Wales the warning was justified, elsewhere didn't need one. There's been so many times that warnings have not been issued on wetter days, and put out for days that don't need one. I used to be such a fan of the MetO warnings, but they have become a joke now. They've gotten more and more complicated! I thought the recent update would have solved some of these complications, but it has made them worse.

I've made my own little warning map in recent days and I think I got it spot on if You would like to take a look just let me know ?

Thought I'd share my forecast for today.. snowfall across parts of northern and Central Scotland continues today with accumulations mostly on hills with only slushy deposits at low levels the central belt should have mainly rain and sleet, a heavy band of rain pushes into northern England and southern Scotland this morning which will turn to snow for southern Scotland and perhaps northern England this evening before clearing away. Elsewhere across England and Wales sunshine but also a rash of very heavy showers around which will be very widespread and giving local hail and thunder in some places also showers will tend to merge to give longer periods of heavy rain particularly for Western england and the midlands some places could see as much as 10 to 20mm by the end of the day although some places will recieve less than this. Temps of 11 to 14c for southern parts but elsewhere 8 to 10 more typically and for scotland only 4 to 7 a best lower on hills. Hope this proves accurate but this is for fun ☺️
