What sort of rainfall totals are we looking at for tomorrow then, Met O going for 8+ hours of heavy rain tomorrow (keeps chopping and changing), Wunderground is saying 24mm which is more than enough on sodden ground!!

EURO4 going for 55/54mm of rain out until Sunday across Cornwall, hope we don't see another Boscastle :nonono:

This is my little forecast on what is likely to happen today.. heavy rain pushing into southern counties during this morning more towards south Wales and the west country at first but the rain band broadening to cover most of England and Wales some of this will be heavy particularly for east Anglia in the afternoon and very persistent some places could see steady rainfall for over 12 hours. Total accumulated rainfall totals by tomorrow of 8 to 12mm for the east and 16 to 22mm for Central and Western parts of England and isolated totals of 30mm. Possible wet snow later for Dartmoor and exmoor.. Top temps of 6 to 9 Celsius. Very dull practically no sunshine but the odd sunny spell can't be ruled out near the south coast. Tonight rain continuing in a line from Wales and Southwest England through the Midlands and east Anglia but tending to turn lighter tomorrow morning. Have a nice day hope my prediction is accurate.?

Would have to be more like 100-200mm in a few hours to cause that in the north Cornwall flashy catchments, very unlikely in this cool airmass thankfully

None the less those totals would cause some flooding issues after a wet month (very wet here with 180mm of rain and snow so far!)

No warnings from the Met Office though, and their latest precip map forecast shows hardly anything for that area...so we will see lol.

An air frost overnight here with a min of -0.9C, light rain has started now and it's currently 4.5C.

Mornin All, a wet start as it's been raining since 5am down here, some of it very heavy. Shopkeepers in Bournemouth will be rubbing their hands in glee as clearly the beach is off-limits (unless you have a wetsuit). Not a good start for the Grockles (for whom I do feel sorry for in this instance).

Anyway 5.6C in a raw ENE breeze in the pouring rain..

Couple of snow flakes about as I left for work this morning but cold rain a plenty down at work. Miserable.

Yellow warning now in force for SW until tomorrow. With more rain forecast over next few days flooding could well be an issue.

Haha, had to look that up, only to realise I am a serial Grockle, myself!

Two yellow warnings for rain in SW now in force for today/tomorrow and Sunday/Monday!

And cold with it!

Allotment saturated, spring sowing/planting way behind this year.

Apart from an even lower temperature it’s almost an exact replica of this time yesterday at the moment. Miserable, wet and cold. 6.4°C.

A rather miserable day, light rain has gradually got more moderate. In fact now there's occasional but definite traces of sleet on the window, temp 4.1C but going down.

These webcams http://www.dsgc.co.uk/what-is-happening-now/webcam suggest it's turning to sleet/wet snow on the Blackdowns with a temp of 1.4C at 280m

Met Office forecast update also shows snow up there and even sleet at 1C down here at 4pm now.

Indeed would now expect some wet snow to come down to low levels at times in the next few hours. Temperature here in Wellington now falling and currently around 3.3.

Can confirm heavy wet snow at my house and proper snow on the top of the hills in Blackdowns.

Chances of settling...zero

Liscombe was reporting 1c, with red blob on the radar around the Tiverton area, this could get interesting for folks with some altitude

An increasing number of flakes now in the moderate sleet, even here at just 25m asl. Someone that wasn't looking closely might even say 'it's snowing!' Temp 2.1C.
The top of a nearby hill about 2 miles away and  200m is obscured now.

I reckon the intense radar echoes around Tiverton are 'bright banding' due to wet snowflakes.. Preip doesn't seem that heavy on weather stations and the radar overestimated the intensity here earlier.

Does anybody think the temperatures will dip here too? Just rain here - 6.5c from 7c in the last 30 mins and at 52 meters asl

No unlikely, not sufficient for wintry precipitation anyhow. Its 3.1 here will little bit of sleet, but other than that a very wet afternoon.

Met Office says it will get down to 4c at 17:00 but next chance for snow now will be sunday night
