My bet now is that the models will drop the idea or depth of cold, before running with it again a couple of days later...

i hope you're right about the second part:help:

Ok so Karlos is off the train, maybe it's run out of fuel, in which case it would be another 8-9months to refuel. In between, well who knows..

As I clicked to open this I was literally having a conversation with hubby - he wants to put the sledge in the loft...He can't do that when snow is a comin' next week!

I think I'll still keep my hat, scarf and gloves handy.

There is still a lot of uncertainty about how the weather is going to pan out even as soon as Weds/Thurs next week in my view.

You've only got to look at the latest ICON run to see that:

has it ever happened where almost every system is agreeing on for example warmth, but none of them are right and it turns cold against the odds?

10.3°C here and cloudy. Doesn’t feel tropical that’s for sure although if the sun came out it would help.

Is this how quiet it is when it's not wintry on net weather? Or is just because this is most boring weather anyone could ask for?

If it isn’t cold and nothings happening then yes it’s often this quiet. Only a few of us post in this thread during quieter spells.

Get a few storms and thing might change.
