Seems like the models have jumped onto something colder again. Would really be worth it this late in the season?

Reading through the Model thread, seems as though they may be catching on to stuff going on in the upper atmosphere again.

Even though I love snow, I would actually prefer a warm and dry Easter, would help with travelling and gardening, both of which are on the agenda!

GEFS Ensemble graph for Cardiff shows the trend towards colder weather over Easter very well plus the Snow Row numbers increase significantly before tailing off:

I am reminded of dry summers where people wish for rain. It then rains for weeks on end and those same people moan it's too much.

It's the same now with cold/snow ; many of us wished for it, we've had 2 epic spells and now more is possible towards Easter some (including me) don't want it!

Also, those of us in the Points West region are so fortunate to have Ian Fergusson and John Hammond regularly doing live forecasts. John Hammond hinted at a cold Easter weekend 10 minutes ago.

We’re not so lucky with our forecasters, or presenters as they really are here, but this evenings South Today forecast also mentioned the possible cold Easter.

I'm happy to see snow anytime of year :D

I find our summers can be more like long boring extensions of autumn so often.. meh

I’m so ready for spring and summer now. I’d prefer a prolonged snowy 1962/63 type spell earlier in the year to this where we know it won’t last. This winter has been amazing though. Will it go down in history I wonder?

With the exception of a brief snow shower on the last day of Feb, I didn't see any snow at all during winter. It's all been since then.

I'm hoping for a repeat of April 6th/7th 2008.

https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/uknews/1584210/April-snow-worst-for-two-decades.html

I cant re-call if Bristol got anything out of this but my mind has images of some pretty heavy snowfall in a short space of time. I'm sure it was April? I was at work at the time and everything was snow covered in 15 minutes and thawed very quickly once the sun came back out.

Could be wrong though...

So am I the only one feeling down now the snow has almost gone? A lot of us seem to be looking forward to spring now.

I love to see the sun but it doesn't love me. Due to illness I am really UV sensitive. We are talking protective gloves when driving, Long sleeves, Hats, factor50 and UV umbrellas. It's not a good look ???.

I've been so happy today and yesterday, snow and beautiful blue skies but low UV levels. Fresh air without the burn. Pity it didnt last long. Not looking forward to summer but a few good thunderstorms would make it more bearable.

Personally I'd love round 3 but I'm not greedy. It's been great.

Don't lower your hopes, a 3rd cold snap still looks possible! Personally, I would like a 3rd beast, then heatwaves and thunderstorms, then back to cold and snow in November.
