Final update from the back edge (really must get some sleep!!) - it is still going here in E Hampshire, not quite moderate, but not really light either. Just doesn't seem to want to end. Hoping to wake up to the dregends kicking back up towards the south coast (and then roll on spring??)

Just walked home through light snow falling in a strong wind. Roads and all surfaces are covered and tiny little drifts decorating the edges of payments . Unbelievable for Swanage in March. ?

Oooh that's going o be fun in the morning isn't it ?!

Yes!! Still chucking it down :) thing is we dont get any gritting or snow plows, so kinda causes a bit more choas than normal. First beast we got snowed in for a few days, we had tractors going around  (just the goodwill of the local farmers) with plows pushing the snow off the road, they did it just too help out, the village was really busy and everyone was extra friendly and all the kids really happy, was a good vibe and a nice sprit amongst people. This time not so much, have not seen a soul for two or three hours. Maybe just a little bit of excitement has gone for some people. Almost me included because i love the sun and warmth equally, but would not say no to beast pt 3 for easter :)

Love to be in that caravan with the fire on and gas lights with mantles and snugged up in a lovely comfy bed x

Feels very sad everyone talking about the end.

Onto next winter. Unless an even more unexpected cold spell turns up. EDIT: such as what @Blizzardof82 mentioned above.

Hopefully some decent heat and a bit of convective weather at some point if spring ever turns up.

Not signing off as I'll still be here throughout the year but probably signing off this cold snap/spell. It's been fun, again.

Beasts from the easts are the best, dont respect any pre-detirmend barriers such as the damn M4.

lovely too see places like devon and cornwall getting into the action.

Been a real memorable event, very emotional, im worn out from it all lol, but when it delivers, worth every moment <3

Sounds lush.. the neighbours can go away with that quite often but don't think they've used it in winter/snow lol

I should really go to bed with my reduced sleep last night, maybe after this heavier bit.

A white Easter I hear could be on the cards, damn never thought I'd ever say this in a million years but I could end up being bored on snow if it keeps turning up with such regularity

Just in case anyone's interested, new developments further east. Mostly over the channel at the moment though.

As other fellow Bristolians have already said, this snow is insane! Heaviest snow of the winter by far.
