This circled area appears to be making aim right for my general area ???

The HIRLAM had that heavy bit in the channel intensifying to the North, as it moves West. Possibly not early enough for here, but good for those further West.

You know, that radar is not everything, according to it the snow should be eating off here but it's currently heavier than it has been at any stage.

It did kick off on the SE thread last night so I have no trouble believing that it's lovelier over here ;)

It really is the thread to be in.

Happy snow.

Portsmouth update - now heavy confetti style snow. Looking at the radar, it may be the heaviest is already through, unless the front builds to the back a bit more. Those heavy streaks in the channel haven't pushed in in time for us. @karlos1983, @Mike Poole, @Mapantz, perhaps they have your name on them - again!!

Yes well maybe, but it looks like the main band will be through quite quickly, but there's some snow behind that and some of us might catch that!  Chart:

Update in Wantage, still snowing, very small flakes, sadly probably not going to be enough to justify a snow day tomorrow at work.

This is at Hedge End @karlos1983. There wasn't any snow at all on the road half an hour ago.

Looking at the radar, the heavy stuff is heading west and slightly north. Be interesting to see where that hits. I'm thinking somewhere like Bridport?

Nearly. Try 20 miles to the east. Yeah, I wish! ?

I’m in Winchester and can confirm it’s taken about 10 to 15 minutes for a dusting to settle from 7:15pm onward. We didn’t do that badly last night either at least 8cms. Yes there was a gap in the radar at one point in time (yesterday evening I think?) but negligible in the grand scheme of things really!

Weird

never seen this

the main band that came in last night then up from the south and produced 14 cm for us here in Frome then pivoted and went to Devon Cornwall . SO then a tiny echo off Kent grew and grew marching ever nearer BUT the previous band over Devon started growing again northward and eastward yet that system is working westward . How on Earth is that happening yet the band in the east is travelling westward ??

Im currently right between the two .!

Is it possible that the two could merge and the southwestbone keeps expanding in to the approaching east to west one? Is that possible and if so would thatbbeef it up further?

Think it’s pivoting.... a bit early for my liking! Might be wrong but Radar last frame or 2 appears to be heading south of east.
