Developing situation so don't take any forecast to literally for now.

All I'm saying is Hampshire & Dorset are at greatest risk of further snowfall tonight but some bordering northern counties like Wiltshire &  Somerset could get involved too if it continues to develop on it's northern edge as the radar currently suggests.

Gfs and hirlam look good for most of region south of m4 :D

The grass is sloooowly starting to turn white again and the temp is falling from +1.0 to +0.2 in the last hour.

For those willing to click on a link, here is the Blizzard Part 2: PL9 Edition, in 16 seconds. https://webcam.io/clips/ZN5oA0

12z Hirlam suggests another couple of cm's is possible widely across southern counties if it's forecast projection of tonight's PPN comes to fruition;

Very little thawing here,must have been close to freezing all day,looked at neighbours gutters and saw some small icicles,on my journey home I saw two icicles that were 3ft long,very 60s/70s,so on to tonight,lots of snow reports now in SE thread but have no idea if that has implications later for us,the only thing I can say about tomorrow is that gardening work opportunities will be limited lol

Chucking it down here again on the edge of paignton/torbay. Just got back from a walk where it was very windy and the precip turned sleety for a while. Now back to proper snow !

Edit: measured 13cm on table out in the back garden before lunch. Must be more now.

HIRLM cumulative snow until midnight, a little surprised how far north this goes, interesting:

And yes, Devon is still getting it!

But actually, you can start to see the spread north in the south east on the radar now:

Temperature really fallen away again here -2.6c after a max of -1.5c

Snow is drifting quite widely now in the keen wind. I may have to have a nap for an hour or so before this evenings round 2 :lazy:

ARGEPE 12Z not dissimilar to HIRLAM, as usual just a touch more conservative with ppn totals. When the ARGEPE has shown snow for my area, it usually has happened.

I'm also waiting to see if the hotspot on some models hits the Lizard later tonight!

I have puddles of water in the road here. The tarmac warmth is no match for the snow. It only settled on roads here because of the sheer precip rate last night.
