Talk about gutted last night. I was out for evening and was looking forward to walking home in the snow. I become unwell and had to come home early where I promptly went to bed. Got up this morning and wow! A nice dumping here in Poole. I honestly didn't expect that. It looks so lovely. I'm going to have to go through the thread and read the excitement from earlier lol

Don’t worry the snow didn’t really get going until about 3-4am ?

hope your feeling well enough to do a  snow angel ?.

A light covering here in Exeter overnight, which will mean some decent accumulation up on the hills. However, the main band of ppn is now heading our way so we could see something significant in the next few hours. What unexpected fun! :)

Yes the Met Office has us down for 11 hours of heavy snow from 9am! I am assuming this is on account of how slow moving the system is

Varying depths between 1-4 inches depending on the surface and falling fast with plenty more to come! Snow events like London buses!

Net weather radar. How long? No idea, should have stopped and it is absolutely chucking it down. ?????@divadee you must be getting this?

4 to 5 centimetres here, except on roads which are a bit slushy. That was pretty much at the top of my expectations. Looks like a fun day throughout the SW, and maybe more tonight for me!

Don’t you just love it when you see already heavy snow albeit small flakes and then the occasional massive one falls within and then more and more starts falling until everything is massive flakes falling around.

Woke up to 1.5 to 2.5 inches on fences, pots, roofs, sheds, greenhouse, walls and soil, but the paths only held a heavy dusting, may have been too warm.
Just started snowing again here heavily, small flakes.

Lowest temp overnight was 0c at midnight and -1.0c at 4am
Now  -0.3c, dewpoint -1.5c, ENE 5-12mph, 1005 hPa

We have small but heavy snow. It was unexpected. It should of been stopping but yet it still comes. It's an exciting day.

Think we maybe clearing soon, as it moves up and slightly more west. Definitely seems to be a nice streamer setting up in the channel for some to the west. You are in for some heavy continuous snow.  Just waiting now to hear  about some power cuts. Won’t be long now?

I wouldn’t be surprised if I’ve ended up with more than last time as I had a fairly low total compared to most here then.
