My grauple is finding cracks and crevices and being blown quite readily in the wind into settling but as yet, thin piles.

Met says no snow here for now but it's snowing pretty steady in Weymouth

Not settling though with temps around 2c

If the models are right Cornwall will get more than last time. Right on the coast may be a bit sleety for a while. Its tomorrow that's more interesting, Remember Cornwall is not a wide county, small corrections can mean none or a blizzard so you will only be sure a few hours before. Watch the radar :D

It would not surprise me to see Cornwall upgraded to Red sometime tomorrow, we shall see.

The Hirlam shows that building across West the first part of the night, then the more persistent stuff is due to build from the south later in the night.

Afternoon, so we're still on for tonight then, it hasn't all gone pear shaped? We've had snow blowing around here for hours now but teeny flakes, I think everyone locally must have seen the 'Beast 2' headline as I've been into town and there's not a loaf of bread to be found, sods law my aga has blown a gasket so the usual homemade bread isn't an option, have to make do with the sole French stick I found at the bakers.

Fire's lit, got some crumpets so come on snow, you can come now for as long as you like.

The last you thing you want is thin piles in your cracks and crevices!

Edit: apologies, it’s been nearly 25 years but I was at an all boys school...

Light snizzle continues but i might take a break and have a nap as I am hitting town hard tonight and at the same time hoping to navigate my phone for radar updates throughout :D

Temperature slowly creeping down -1.7c now and i have some baby icicles forming around roof. Snow settling slightly on grass and surfaces like roof etc but still a touch warm on concrete for now.

Hitting town hard...? Binegar?!

The Met Office App says I will have dinner plate sized flakes here on the beast from the east.  This would result in 12 Inches here causing a state of emergency, warranting a red warning.  I believe they must be following the 12z Hirlam as the Hirlam is awesome, producing a cobra run.  I will now take the dog out for a walk, let him find his "yellow snow" spot, then settle down, with a bottle of Gin, and watch events unfold.  I just have one nagging question though............

.............  Will it snow in Cardiff?

Don't want to be an attention grabber, but the HIRLAM is awesome.

Many of the high-res models show a localised higher snowfall rate over the New Forest tonight so depending on how the roads end up it could be a very interesting day for getting out in that area tomorrow. I happen to be within walking distance but that is talking 7-8 miles through snow so quite the adventure to take on... :snowman-emoji:.

it's noticeable on the NW radar how snow keeps developing in Lyme Bay, seems to be a snow making machine in that area

Well..... that might be pushin it! I have snow falling very lightly, it’s sticking where it lands and not melting. The deck and table have a dusting of sorts lol. I shan’t be posting a picture of it.
