I think it’s fair to say if it were Sunday night into Monday, we would have a more widespread Amber warning.

im close to tears of joy, hopefully they don’t become tears of dospair lol

Which part of Weston ? Zero here but very windy

I'm in the east of Weston, near j21 of the m5, very light snow falling.

Edit : just turned heavy, still  small flakes though.

Good to see that disturbance looking intact tomorrow, especially for those a bit further down in the SW.

This is bonkers that for once this is perfection for us! The cold air comes in then immediately precipitation.

Nothing here so far apart from a bit of rain earlier before the temperature really dropped. Waiting for that band pushing south to arrive.

Fear not, the ground will cool significantly now throughout the day. Settling snow will not be a problem when the main course arrives

isnt it just typical of the UK. you get the heavy snow but your air is milder and the snow finds it hard to settle, whereas we have colder air but very little snow.  What little snow we would have would definately settle here but alas all we get is piddly little snowflakes thats not enough to amount to anything.

So the snow band definitely intensified as it moved south, becoming more clearly defined. Question is whether the snow behind it will also do the same :)

Light snow in Wantage this morning, reduced to a few flakes now.   HIRLAM 6z has more significant snow for Oxfordshire overnight:

Cumulative snow to Monday morning, guess we'll see how good this model is if there's a red warning issued for the Exeter area!

hirlamuk-45-48-0.png?17-11

Significant snow in Oxon sounds good to me
