It's all up for grabs QS!!! I have absolutely no idea what's going to happen tomorrow! Blizzards or sprinkles!

But it all seems to be moving west to me.

HIRLAM still snowy, especially on saturday night although Sunday looks showery  rather then persistent snow.

The SW is the place to be it seems! However Saturday day could also be snowy here, especially if the timing of the cold air arrival and the position of the trough is just right, leading to only a fall of snow rather then rain to snow.

Very interesting indeed, may well be a case of nowcasting again.

Really is going to be some top nowcasting! Radar at the ready! somewhere low level in our region (out of the Amber warning area) will get 10cm, I'm sure of that!

I think you're right. The one thing I am expecting now is for a feature to develop as the easterly goes down the channel. Early development would favour you and me, late development may see the first ever use of the red zone for Cornwall???!

ICON also keen to bring up more snow from the SE on Sunday night, GFS isn't far off with this either.

This is exactly why I love easterlies, they are so unpredictable with small leadtimes, which basically gives everybody opportunity for Snow

I have to chuckle on how quick we all where to notify the amber warning live it:yahoo:

There nowt that'll beat the Dorset snow dome into submission, looking at that warned area it's still not able to encroach the county.

Bit of a sad day, the WS is sick, big-time. Factory reset battery replacement, and some kind words have coerced it back into life. Just need it to survive until it's replacement arrives and is set up and running. Fingers crossed a few kind words have helped it:good:

With the sea temperature at it's annual coldest point, maybe just maybe the warming effect is minimised but personally I think it'll miss us, but the rain wont...

In exactly 4 minutes time, I'll be sat in the garden with a beer; in the sunshine, with no need for a coat.

Tomorrow, we're under a weather warning for snow and in 36 hours we'll be 20 miles East of an Amber.

Bonkers.
