As forecast a rather poor day, but not quite the rainfest it could have been. Morning was miserable with bouts of moderate rain, but it petered out around lunchtime, and the rest of the day was just dull but dry.

Tomorrow could be a slow start here, with some low cloud around, but expecting it to burn away by lunch, and the afternoon and evening promises to bring sunshine.

Saturday could deliver the highest temp of the year here so far, thanks to more sunshine early on and a better wind direction.Thursday and Friday will bring cooler conditions with a SW flow, Cumbria never does well temp wise when winds are from the SW, but the rest of the NW can do very well.

Another overcast morning here, temps slightly on the up at 15'c but the vis.Satellite isn't showing much in the way of the forecast uninterrupted blue-skies over the NW.

The cloud cover is frustrating, especially as we probably only have 3-4 days of nice weather before it all goes downhill next week again.

Cloud is breaking up now, hopefully the afternoon will be better.

It is cloudy here. I thought the sunny weather would be here by now. The wind is quite warm compared a couple of weeks ago.

Sun breaking through now with more blue skies than cloud, temps on the up at +1.3'c/hr and currently at 18.7'c. An hour later than predicted, but i'll take it for a good view of the Moon near to Venus in the evening.

Fantastic start to the day. 25C possible somewhere in our region today? I think so.

Having a punt at Hawarden already 21c at 10.30. If not then maybe Manchester or Liverpool Airport?

24.2'c in Buxton this afternoon with the local pubs were choc-a-bloc passing by them on the bus at around 2pm. Certainly glad I slapped on the suncream and got some water from the shop as just being out for a few hours whilst running errands was about all I could handle after being so used to the cold and snow over winter.

Not great here, morning sun gave way to overcast conditions, temps around 12c id imagine yet its a totally different story the other side of the pennines with wall to wall sunshine and temps approaching mid twenties, the difference in weather between the east and west coast at times never ceases to amaze (and mainly dissapoint) me.

Suitably hot today for catching some rays although I missed the hottest part of the day because I was swimming this afternoon, sadly indoors.  First completely cloud-free day I've experienced for over 5 years.

The green in the sky is probably light pollution or maybe the glow from an Asda sign:rofl:
