At last.

Headline:

Some snow possible overnight. Sunshine and showers tomorrow.

This Evening and Tonight:

A mainly dry night with patchy cloud and clear spells. Turning cold and frosty under clear skies. There is a risk of rain and snow over the hills, and at times to lower levels, moving across southern parts towards dawn. Minimum temperature -2 °C.

Thursday:

Any rain and snow in the south will clear through the morning. Then a mixture of sunny spells and showers follows. Showers possibly turning wintry over the higher ground. Maximum temperature 8 °C.

Salt and pepper tofu for me

Everyone to their own I suppose but tofu, what a waste of salt and pepper. :)

meanwhile back to the weather, this is one snow over high ground event I want to miss out on but no doubt it’ll dump itself IMBY.

I think you‘re far enough North to miss the heavy precipitation.

I hope people aren't hoping for Spring because the models are still toying with another cold spell soon.

For you first time this winter I want to be far enough north to miss it but Di Ox showed it crossing me.

A confusing forecast for overnight into tomorrow, BBC saying snow into fells of Cumbria, yet graphics don't shown any precipitation, mountain weather forecast going for low level snow across much of the Park tomorrow morning. Met Office warning for Pennines only - why we wouldn't be included is odd in this respect. Arpege and GFS suggesting frontal feature heading further north than BBC, indeed everything looks like heading north. UKMO FAX charts only indicating front moving further north than forecast.

A case of wait and see - might get a snowy surprise, might not.

Maybe there could be a surprise tomorrow then? That's 3 models I've seen now with snow to low ground.

Yes I reckon so. Have to watch those on-shore winds after 5 AM though. Don’t want them spoiling the party.

Yeah. Even so on-shore winds are the bane of my life. The Irish sea could find a way to spoil things even if it was frozen over!
