Homegrown Lake District showers have developed in the last couple of hours or so, however, they just seem to want to skirt us so far, heavier bursts are just to our north it seems. Would be good to see a decent thundery outbreak with bonus lightning. Not a day to be out on the fells. Feeling muggy as well. Hoping the impending unsettled theme is a shortlived affair, and the conditions of late return by the end of June. Late June/early July marks the descent into summer proper, when everyone shifts gear downwards in preparation for the summer lull - its the time of year when everyone seems to be at their happiest.

No storms here today but maybe some brewing over the tops of the hills and in the northern part of our region

Well it's already 22c down here so it's gonna be a fairly warm one today. Hope some convective activity can kick off later.

I don’t think I can remember a longer, better spell of warm sunny weather, ever, in the UK. This is fantastic!

In the west of the country maybe. East of the Pennines it has been two weeks of cloud with the token bit of sunshine at 8pm. Today one of the very few days it has been sunny from about 12pm but even then it is 6 hours later than forecast. Cannot wait for westerlies, at least then it will be sunny between the weather fronts instead of endless cloud.

Dark cloud-bases here from some beefy looking cumulus clouds towards the Goyt and Glossop, there's some rain on the RADAR within the vicinity and the sun is strong away from the developments.

Been an incredible spell of weather for what seems weeks on end. Been loads of times we have eaten in the garden so far, been years since we last managed to do it as often.
