Just been stood outside while I let the dog out and it’s certainly a lot cooler tonight than for what seems like months.

Poor day overall, especially when the bar has been set so high this summer and Sunday is looking even worse with heavy rain replacing heavy showers but hopefully it dries up again early next week.

i just want my summer back.

Missed every single thunderstorm that whizzed through the area yesterday.  Direct hit today with the persistent heavy rain though.  A cold shiver runs through my spine thinking that some very wet miserable summers of recent years had days like today almost every other day.  We've been gloriously spoilt this summer, and it's set to continue after this mini blip of cooler wet weather.

Absolutely hammering in it down here.

nothing else to say really other than although no doubt it won’t prevent the hose pipe ban, it should at least stop any need for me having to use the damn thing.

Wet and breezy here this morning. Looks like the weather will slowly improve after today as the week goes on but thankfully looks like we will avoid the return to really hot temperatures this week at least. Sunny spells and temps low to mid twenties with a nice breeze each day. Maybe some showers, more especially tomorrow. It has been the lack of wind in combination with hot temperatures that has made it uncomfortable out for me personally. Always nice if there is a decent breeze to temper the heat.

I really need to go to the recycling centre to get shut of a load of old wood which has been filling my car since yesterday but it’s still peeing it down.

Heavy rain until lunchtime and then plenty of showers since.

After what we’ve been used to lately, a poor day’s weather but hopefully it’s just a blip before dry and warm returns in a day or two’s time.

Quite a bit of rain these past three days. Today brought some persistant long lived heavy downpours, a notably heavy one late afternoon. Grass is quickly recovering, everything turning fresh green again and growing. However, we would need a good 2 weeks of this to see any full real recovery, and the outlook doesn't promise much in the way of sustained rainfall, some heavy stuff on Thursday perhaps - all good though, and things were looking worrying 10 days ago. July was also looking like being a very dry one, but I suspect we will now finish only slightly below average, despite only a handful of rainfall days.

I was away in Sweden last week , before I went the grass was looking very brown and too short to cut,it's now like a jungle after the rain, but I can't cut it because i'm currently laid up with a sprained ankle that i brought back from Sweden with me ...it's all very frustrating
