Any reports from Manchester, radar is showing a direct hit from red radar echos.

Heavy drizzle in the city centre. The strongest echoes are south of the M60 atm.

A short sharp shower has passed through here in last 30 minutes, no thunder though.  Should green the ground a little, still not nearly enough to make a difference to reservoir levels.

I've just noticed the leaves are falling from the trees around here. Maybe its alright for the grass to turn green but the trees are the different story.

Looks like a very hot and humid day to come tomorrow with temps up to 31c according to metoffice. It will be absolutely stifling. Looks like a decent chance of storms overnight Thursday into Friday, but I just wonder if we will be just too far West here? Hoping for some Westward shift in the models.

Hopefully 25-27c today.... tomorrow looking like maybe 30-33c possible

edit met office updated warning moved eastwards... not that that probably means much...storms could pop up anywhere

Yep, warning zone shifted East so we are now outside the zone. I agree, as with any warning, not necessarily definitive and we will have to see what happens on Friday.

Jinkies, each time I look at the ensembles, next week gets hotter and hotter.

And dry as a bone, there's no way the hosepipe ban is getting cancelled.
