Trees are starting to look a bit worse for wear here now I noticed earlier.

A couple more weeks of this and they'll be prematurely taking on their autumn plumage.

Looking very overcast all of a sudden.... dare I get excited?

Plenty of overcast but nowt from it although i’m sure I saw a spot of rain on the windscreen on the way home from work.

its certainly coming to something though when we’re getting excited about the chance of rain but the gardens need it.

IT'S RAINING!

Just spitting, mind, but it is water, and it is falling out of the sky.

Are you sure?...radar looks very dry apart from those on western coastal areas.

Here it's back to those perfect May springlike conditions... temps more tolerable at 24c with a cool refreshing breeze.   Showers might become a little more prevalent over the next few days but some will miss out entirely

Yes, I'm sure. This was at about 0800, and it did show on the radar at the time. I should have screenshotted it. It didn't last long.

Sorry never doubted you, it's just been bone dry here and can't believe how desperate the soils needs a good watering and the rivers, streams and reservoirs could do with a refill.  MEN says the majority of the region has not seen rain for over 23 days.... it feels much longer.  Ah well I've no doubt the balance will be addressed and we'll be craving the summer sun again in a few months time.

It was tremendously light, and stopped after a minute or two. And had all evaporated within 5. No use whatsoever for my garden, or the moors. I could see Saddleworth still smoldering yesterday.

We’re having a moderate shower! Yipee!

Struggling to just reach the burn area though, come on just a little bit further!
